I totally agree. This is entirely possible if bitcoin will grow slower due to its shortcomings, provide less profit to investors and they will simply switch after that to invest in altcoyins. As we see, half of 2018 has already passed and we have not seen a good rise in prices of all coins, but I believe that there is still time and the market will still recover. I still believe that the prices of all altcoins depends on the price of bitcoin, so if its price grows, the altcoins will follow it.

it does not matter whether it has low or high market cap. what matter is the actual use of specific coins or tokens. obviously, low cap projects are the targets of pump and dump group which is harming the market, and I prefer not supporting it.
