How long more somebody know something ?

Dont even bother for those 25$ which the coin will be worth and than sunk down after (IF) coming out. Unofficially 25$ mark my words, dont spend electricity for mining.

Funny - according to whattomine, ZClassic is back to being the most profitable coin for an Equihash rig :-) I've been mining ZClassic since difficulty dropped below 300K with decent success so far. Still crossing my fingers for BTCP though...

It's difficult to discuss with you since you focus only on what you think. Again, for people, use the tool if you like and if you don't, use something else, all what you say (moving coins, etc) is clearly explained in the repo, as well as not rushing to claim coins that you already have unless there is a good reason to do so, the tool is certainly not an alternative to this, the very same applies if you are using wallets

Anyway, we are not talking about the same thing, mined coins go to z-addresses first, everybody knows this

Here the original question/discussion is about: https://github.com/BTCPrivate/bitcoin-private-full-node-wallet/issues/32 "balances from fork need to be sent in full to a Z address before being able to be spent normally." and the fact that the wallet imposes to move/sweep your coins to a z-address

This is not normal at all to be forced by the wallet to send your coins to a z-address, dangerous and misleading for people

The conclusion is that this is just a requirement of the wallet and that coins can be moved normally, just don't use the sweep in the wallet, should it allow you to do so, if not don't use the wallet

Regarding the explorer could you please show me a BTC or ZCL address with a balance before the fork that appears there?

Would be better that BTCP team clarifies all this instead of having to guess things

Quote
How come it is dangerous to send coins to Z address first? It's your own Z address, not some random address in the blockchain.
That issue you posted just proves me correct. Before you can transfer any new coins, you'll have to put them via Z address (your own Z address).

Let's be serious now, you don't know what you are talking about (please wake up, I am not talking about "new" coins), I will not repeat 1000 times what I wrote above before you understand it, normal transactions do not have to go through a z-address, using a buggy wallet to send your coins to (your) z-addresses (of course not some random address in the blockchain, how can you write this?) while there are no reasons to do this can be dangerous, and is anyway dubious unless you have decided it, or unless you want to spend mined coins

Quote

This is working now for ZCL (last example below was not working before), what about BTC balances (first two examples)?

At current difficulty, coin needs to be at least $225~ to make it at least equal to other coins in mining profitability. A lot more would make it worth all the fuss.  A lot of miners must think it's going to be a lot more.  The $25 thing is just crazy.  I stopped mining it a couple days ago, we'll see if that was worthwhile or a mistake.

I think with the difficulty of 164.986.237.1046 - 1080 (btcp) * 225 $ = 243000 $ is very small.
ZEC with difficulty 9,301,334.0097 - 7200 (zec) * 0.03 (btc) = 216 (btc) * 10500 = 2268000 $

Currently there is no market open for BTCP. HitBTC and TradeSatoshi have confirmed listing of BTCP.
KUCOIN announced that they'll award BTCP to BTC holders, but they haven't given a statement about BTCP listing. Still they have market page for BTC - BTCP and you can see BTCP in depositable coins, so this gives a hint of KUCOIN listing BTCP soon.
Trading starts, but slowly:

I agree, price should be much higher to make it worthwhile.  'A lot more would make it worth all the fuss.'

Yes! Also I made some math and min price should be $160 but when I look much details it must be much then $300 because , when zcl price was around $150 people was mining and for example daily income was 0.1 zcl then when zcl price down people stop mining it ( some people still mining zcl btw ) and income now 1 zcl daily.. So now there is not much miners for btcp because they wants to know price , if it worh they will start to mine btcp again. This math shows me the price min $300+ , as example if you mine 0.1 btcp daily now and when more people start to mine btcp , it will down daily income of btcp. Sorry about my English , I hope people get it what I want to say here.

As for me, $ 25 is quite an adequate price for this coin. Of course, speculators will earn, so it always happens.
