Nice, Zetacoin is still running.  Even though there have been no new reference node/wallet releases, the existing one is still the best working version.

These are instructions on how to setup your own Zetacoin node. You need to download and install FreeBSD (https://www.freebsd.org/where.html).  There are countless guides on how to get a copy up and running.  The easiest is to spin up an Azure or AWS instance.  If you are not into that, then download the pre-built virtual machine for VMWare or Virtualbox.  Really, just do a search for how to install FreeBSD.  A 50 GB volume size is more than enough. Once you have a copy of FreeBSD running on your server continue below.

• Install the Zetacoin node:

i kind of like the idea of mining a old coin and getting a bit life back into it. Is there still any sens in mining Zeta? Im new to mining and got a newpack just for learning resons.
so pleas let me know if there is a active comunity here.

We have been trying to set the buy-sell spread at the LTC equivalent of 2.2 BTC sats. (Price on Frei right now is 3-2 BTC sats.) That's plus-minus 2850.

But right this second, the price has drifted up to 3030-4000 LTC sats. Watch this space.
Freilite is 3200-4000 right now.

3200 is the equivalent of 2.5 BTC sats, up from recent buy-bids based on 2.2. We still lack enough data to make good guesses about the Zeta market, though there's only 6,000 up to sell at 3 sats on Frei. (100,000 at 4). So that suggests a drift up.

Edit: 3152-4000 on Freilite right now. 3152 is the LTC equivalent of 2.5 BTC sats. No volume on Frei.

My experience is that Those Left at The Last -- bagholders -- become conservative. They think their coin is 'really' worth more -- if a revival happens. But a coin can't survive with neither volume nor a community. My argument is that price is unimportant in such a situation. Bagholders serve themselves and the coin well by selling some coin. Just to get some volume (and we can 'flip' that coin at a 1-sat-LTC mark-up). Otherwise -- it gives me no pleasure to say this -- the coin dies.

Talk is cheap. What traders want to see is a tight buy-sell spread. I am putting what is sold to me back up to sell at a few sats higher price. Folks can see that happening day after day.

EDIT:

3020 is the LTC equivalent of 2.4 BTC sats at this moment. Our spread is 3000-3200, about 6.6%. Not great, but not bad at all. There are other traders placing bids now.
