Isn't the transaction fee for zeta supposed to be 0.001 ?

Thanks hammo

Giskard... your thoughts?

Transaction fees can be set in the wallet options if you wish to set a minimum fee, otherwise transaction fees are based on the size of the transaction (number of inputs and outputs). Size based transactions can either be free or incur a small fee depending on its size. With the fast block generation of Zetacoin your transaction will almost always be picked up within one or two blocks, regardless of fee.

I'm trying to compile the latest git pull and I find this error:

  CXXLD  zetacoind
/usr/bin/ld: ../src/leveldb/libleveldb.a(db_impl.o): relocation R_X86_64_32S against `_ZTVN7leveldb2DBE' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
../src/leveldb/libleveldb.a: could not read symbols: Bad value
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

not sure what to do with "recompile with -fPIC", where do I set that? make -fPIC and ./configure -fPIC didn't work...

The Zetacoin team is called "ZBAD305" , that's all I know... I wish I could tell you more. Perhaps someone here knows more and will chime in. Good luck with your book project.

In the early days there was a group called "ZBAD305" we let everybody in who wanted to contribute. We haven't had exactly heads of the departments we had.

Our early developers were TheZero and Derfshaya whereas Giskard is the head developer of the Zetacoin core.
We were a very close group and discussed matters of PR, Designs and development... this structure broke down a little bit with the end of the social network "nobs.is" which was done by Konen.
The Webpage zetacoin.cc is handled by stewartie4 for the time being

The Post-Nobs-era I don't know much about.

Hi

This thread is not used much by zetacoiners, so head over to http://zet.io/ and sign up for the latest news.

A tip to make it more user friendly is to disable notifications, otherwise it can clog up your screen. Click on your profile drop-down and select 'notification settings', you can then switch on or off the ones you wish. See you all there!

Zetacoin seems like its really moving forward. Making huge steps lately. They are not too active in here as said, but they achieve more then 98% of the coins on here Smiley

forked BitPay’s Bitcore, renamed Zetcore, for Zetacoin.  Cool pretty awesome!

Nice, someone purchased zetacoin.com.  I was inquiring about that domain a few months ago and they wanted a little over 5 BtC for it.

Yea I wouldn't call it moving forward, what is this new 9.2.2 wallet that has seemingly stolen 80 zetacoins from me,  I had a brownout (electricity cut out) I was solo mining, and before the brownout I had over 160 (CONFIRMED) Zetacoin after the brownout, I tried and pull the wallet up, it loaded and synced however I had only 82 Zetacoins. I began mining on 9-3-2014 at 1:13 PM eastern time, I did not stop mining until 9-5-2014 3:22 PM Eastern time however it stops loading blocks after 9-4-2014 2:50 AM eastern time, it lost 12+ hours of coins I mined somehow. I think it may be possibly due that the nodes that were there when i was mining have now converted to the new 9.2.2 wallet (maybe??)

I have tried everything, I tried reloading the wallet, I tried syncing the wallet from the beginning, nothing has worked, then I see there was an update to 9.2.2 yet there is no zetacoin-qt.exe included in the files that you download from github. WTF is thaty about, said I needed to drag and drop my bitcoin-qt into the folder tried that it loaded a new bitcoin wallet instead, I tried putting the old zetacoin-qt.exe in the new folder with all the other crap that came with the update, NOPE did not work.

I have now added some nodes in hopes they may be able to retrieve my lost coins because the last time i loaded it said WARNING we do not agree with our peers, you may need to update the wallet or the nodes. So I tried the wallet update and screw that, to much bullshit involved to be honest. You should just be able to click or run a simple command line and poof the wallet starts up. Unfortunately that does not seem to be the case with this new update LOL so now I have tried to just update the nodes in hopes they will continue the blocks where all the older nodes left off. not sure why it just stops loading my blocks I mined after 2:50 AM on the 4th of september

Have you tried typing repairwallet in the console, in case the wallet.dat is the issue? Take a backup first. Not having any problems syncing here with the same version.

there is no zetacoin-qt.exe in the files, it has something else I guess we are supposed to do. I guess now if you want to use the zetacoin wallet you must first learn how to code a coin with a wallet, cause I am not that advanced so i could not get them to work. I Need a zetacoin-qt.exe for me to get it to function, I am still using the 9.2.1 beta.

The latest Windows build is 0.9.2.1.

Release 0.9.2.2 is only a checkpoint update in Github, so it is not a required update. There are no Windows binaries for it.

Anycoin Direct added the payment option SEPA!

The SEPA payment option allows you to buy Zetacoin and other cryptocurrencies by a SEPA bank transfer.
When you enter a SEPA order, you will directly go to the order overview. Here you can see the amount you have to pay and the bank account to transfer it to.
If you have any questions about the SEPA order process please let us know or visit our website.
