Is there a target exchange that XAO is working toward getting on? Very excited about anon coins but I don’t mine so it is always difficult if it’s not on an exchange to get any

Suddenly, countless projects are using the cryptonight something to start their ideas, but it's known to all the difficulty for the exchanges to add that kind of coin, anyway, perhaps the efforts are doubled, I'll be watching.

On the old wallet is there a command to change or remove the password?
Also, the old daemon cannot connect any more. I was sure my balance was over 220 XAO. Now when I run the wallet without the daemon getting any peers it only shows a balance of 80 coins. Is there a website where I can check the balance of an address on the old chain?
@alloyd - Please answer these two questions. The old blockchain has been shutdown, we've just relaunched the new blockchain. You can get a complete refund for all funds within your old wallet by posting your wallet on our refund page here, https://walletxfer.alloyexplorer.com/. This site has been shutdown, and processing payments? I haven't submitted yet, how do I get my wallet updated?

The majority of refunds have gone out. We can help you manually on Discord -- http://alloy.cash/discord

Have all the old wallets already been transferred or are you still working on them?
Unfortunately, the balance has not arrived yet.

If it hasnt arrived yet, you should check the pastebin link above for your address. if its in the list of problematic wallets, you have to go on discord to contact them. they will resolve the issue with you then

Regarding the coins transfer from the old to new wallet.
Can someone confirm where these new coins have come from? I assume from a premined account but where can we verify the balance of this account?
Yes, we premined the new chain in order to allocate coins for the refunds, bounties, exchange fees, etc. 456,000 coins were allocated to cover all the possible previous coin holdings. Any remaining funds for coins not claimed will be allocated for bounties. The refund wallet transfer was split into multiple transactions, but http://alloyexplorer.com/?hash=3d001e211e01e91795c1d5a7eeda435cbea2f95d766954f276eaf8b9ed628626#blockchain_transaction is an example of one transfer from genesis into the refund wallet. Can somebody explain to me why Alloy Explorer is showing current supply of 4,775,475 XAO when only 456,000 coins where supposed to be premined?

Yes. the daily emission for XAO is about 38400 = 80 (block reward) x 24 (hrs) x 20 (3 minute block time) 4,650,000 XAO equivalent to 4 months private mining. 4,650,000 XAO equivalent to ~5% premine. (total supply 84 million XAO) Since there is a hardfork, the dev team have to pay old blockchain miners 1 month worth XAO. Also the dev team have to pay for listing. i.e dev team only reserved ~3-4% of total coins for maintenance cost. You can check that most new cryptonote coins now have over 10% premine.

Premine was 4 560 000, old chain was about 11 days of mining with little over 400 000 coins, so after reimbursment it leaves something like 4 100 000+ with developers, that is pretty close to 5% premine. Indeed there will be some costs with exchanges and maybe some bounties etc. And while bigger premine is quite common, even with 5% there should be little more details about projects (why it isnt another copy-paste shoecoin?).

I wish this was communicated better. This coin went from no premine before hardfork to about 5% premine without announcement anywhere in this thread. As of right now, it still doesn't mention anything about premine on the original announcement post.

True. There is pretty big difference between coin with 0% premine or with 5% premine. While first one evolves more "naturally" with demand and community, with premine developers have more power - either to make it or kill it

True. There is pretty big difference between coin with 0% premine or with 5% premine. While first one evolves more "naturally" with demand and community, with premine developers have more power - either to make it or kill it common cryptonote coins all have 15%-20% premine for bounties and maintenance. it is not embarrassing for the dev team to announce the 5% premine. keep in mind that this coin has bounties and reimbursement deducted from premine.

The current exchange seems very friendly, anyone can get into the place, there is no more detailed verification system like that, so impressed just looking for profit only.

I was reacting to lack of informations from dev team, not suggesting that premine is necessarily bad. And i mentioned that reimbursment, exchanges and potential bounties need to be accounted for (BTW actual premine is ~5.43%, so its pretty close to 5% after reimbursment). There is no info at all about premine in initial post - they just removed original "no premine" sentence without writing anything about premine, seems little slimy.

You're right, it's not embarrassing for the dev to announce 5% premine. So where is that announcement?.. Especially that originally it was no-premine. I've read through every page of this thread and I didn't find it.
