[MoviToken_CHRIS]

MoviToken is an ERC20 - Verified community cryptocurrency created specifically for the independent film community.

MoviToken is a tool producers and filmmakers can use to produce more competitive productions, i.e. a filmmaker can pay a cinematographer to bring all of his camera gear for a feature film, saving stacks of cash for other production requirements. Instead of complaining about never selling a screenplay, a writer can negotiate a payout in MoviToken. The writer can then turn around and produce his own film with his MoviToken holdings. Actual cash has always been a limited resource for indie producers (and even Hollywood is taking cost-cutting measures but that's another discussion for a different platform), MoviToken helps bridge the film financing gap a little more.

What MoviToken is NOT.

Currently MoviToken (MOVI) is NOT an alternative payment method for union members as specified by Unions such as SAG, DGA, WGA, PGA, IATSE, etc. MoviToken is targeted more toward Non-Union productions.

I have not invested in cinematographic art yet. The presentation indicated that your campaign will provide cinematographers with more competitive equipment. Where do you get it from? Can your equipment compete with Sony?

Many indie filmmakers can't even afford to hire a cinematographer in fiat currency, so they shoot the movie themselves with a DSLR. If a filmmaker exchanges his/her MoviToken for ETH, then fiat, OR pays the cinematographer in MoviToken, maybe part of the deal is that the cinematographer brings his/her equipment (Red, Alexa, Ursa, Sony, etc.). MoviToken helps indie filmmakers, because it is a community currency... Instead of saying you can't pay actors and crew, you pay with MoviToken or exchange MoviToken > ETH > Fiat and then hire your people and obtain equipment.

The possibilities are endless!

When the movie sells to a distributor, the idea is that you would reinvest some of your fiat back into MoviToken, so that everyone who participates benefits!

What is the benefit for the investor?

If by "investor" you mean a day trader in the crypto markets, one can trade based off the buys or sells.

If by "investor" you mean a person or firm investing in a project that uses MoviToken, that could cross the line into securities and might require legal review.

Please keep in mind that hodling MoviToken does not grant anyone a stake or share in the profits of any film that uses MoviToken. Traders only make their trades based off the market.

A person who holds say 10,000,000 MoviToken can make an individual deal with a filmmaker for investing in the filmmaker's movie.

Market example: MoviToken value $0.02
10,000,000 MOVI value $200,000

Filmmaker: I have a great script, but no money
Investor: I have 10,000,000 MoviTokens
Filmmaker: I'll give you 50% of the profits if you invest 2,000,000 MOVI (or $40,000).
Investor: Sounds like a deal


At this point, there are several options the filmmaker has.

1. Pay everyone in MoviTokens that the investor provides.
2. Use MoviToken as collateral on crypto-lending platform to get ETH or cash and pay everyone with fiat. Eventually, AirSwap and/or Bancor could be available to swap for ETH as well.



Movie gets made and sold to a distributor or film buyer for $150,000.

Here's the simple math.

$150,000
-$75,000 to investor for 50% profit share
-$40,000 to repay MoviToken investment
________

Investor gets: $115,000 = 187% Return on Investment
Filmmaker gets: $35,000 = started with nothing, now has $35,000 and can now buy their own MoviTokens if they wanted to

What if the movie only sells for $50,000?

$50,000
-$40,000 to repay MoviToken investment
-$5,000 to investor for 50% profits share
________

Investor gets: $45,000 = 12% Return on Investment
Filmmaker gets: $5,000 = better than nothing
