I have a few of these cases all running 7-8 x 1080 ti's Founders Edition cards, and the airflow is easy to manage and they work perfectly for me.
I have set them up both ways and they work fine drawing air front to back as they are designed, and also the other way around pushing air out the front.
My setups are all in a data center with great air conditioning and and they mine at around 53-59 degrees

I'm curious if anyone has one setup with 7-8 GPU's that are non FE, and use aftermarket coolers and have 2 or 3 fans pushing air all over the place?
I think it might still work OK with strong exhaust fans to get rid of all the air, but I wanted to hear from someone who has done it before I buy lots of cards.

Any input appreciated Cheesy

I use one of these in a 19" rack with 6 EVGA 1070's and 1 evga 1060.  6 1070's are in the GPU bay, 1x 1060 is plugged into the motherboard.

5 80mm fans are installed in the fan crossbar inside the case.
3 120mm fans set in the front of the GPU bay blowing front to back.
2 80mm fans in the back of the case, pulling air front to back.

The 6 in the GPU bay temps vary, but tend to run 48-58.

The 1060 over the motherboard is downstream of the other GPU's, so it is in the hot air stream of the rest.  It runs 70-72.

I like the compact, locked down setup, fits nicely in a rack without crazy stuff hanging all over the place like an open air setup.

I've built 5 rigs in the rosewill 4u case in numerous airflow configs. Here's a few things I've come across:

1) Cut out the back right side panel (leaving the necessary holes for the rails) next to the PSU, install copper mesh and flip the PSU fan orientation so the fan points towards the mesh. This will significantly extend the life of the PSU and lowers the risk of fires. Then it's easy to blow front to back.

2) If you're planning on using non-reference-blower cards, I would limit your rigs to 6x GPUs per case, otherwise you'll most likely run 75+ on the cards. However, this can be circumvented by cutting fan holes into the top of the case and adding exhaust fans blowing up and out. However, that means you'll have to leave at least 1U in your rack between rigs. Not a huge deal for me as space is pretty easy to come by in racks.
