I believe that is where LitecoinGlobal are incorporated.
We're considering our options in incorporating YourBitBit/bitBlu, and Belieze just came up.

If anyone knows a good lawyer there, please do make an intro/referral.

Cheers,
Ron

I don't know any attorneys in Belize.  I'm just posting to say that it saddens me to see bitcoin businesses flee to other jurisdictions.

Marco Santori is a lawyer, but not your lawyer, and this is not legal advice.  If you do have specific questions, though, please don't hesitate to PM me.  We've learned this forum isn't 100% secure, so you might prefer to email me.  Maybe I can help!  Depending upon your jurisdiction, this post might be construed as attorney advertising, so: attorney advertising Smiley

I guess you imply a default U.S.
We're from Israel, so our default shouldn't necessarily be the U.S.

However, we are fleeing Israel, and of course the U.S - it is known that it's not a good place to be a Bitcoin business.

Sorry if this is redundant, but have you checked Chambers?

http://www.chambersandpartners.com/Global/Editorial/96770

The law firms mentioned there all seem quite competent - if it's only an incorporation you want, I'd request a quote from a few different firms.

It's not just incorporation, we want to make sure, prior to incorporating, that our business is actually legal in that country. We need a good lawyer who can testify to that.

Well most of the law firms on that list should be able to do that - Chambers has good lists of the most reputable firms in any country.

Well, thanks for the link, I'll check it out.
I was hoping for a company that's already familiar with Bitcoin, wanted to save some time.

From my experience, it's still a largely unknown phenomenon in the Carribean...
Please let me know if I could be of any assistance, I write legal papers and opinions for a living and have good knowledge of bitcoin.

Good luck!

I can assist you with registering Belize LLC company and opening bank account there.

However, to comply with KYC and AML, it's mandatory for you to file Agent Compliance Form and present notarized copies of necessary identification documents.
All documents presented will be carefully verified by compliance department. If you are looking to open anonymous/pseudonymous company or account, we cannot help you.

The cost of LLC with bank account in Belize registered by our agent will be about $2500
If you wish, you may pay by BTC with escrow.

Just send me PM.

Lol? "other" what? There is a standard jurisdiction for bitcoin businesses?

Let me guess: you are a "america is the world" person? Ridicolous.

By "other jurisdictions," i assume MSantori means "other than OP's local jurisdiction" -- a reasonable assumption, unless OP is currently in Belize.

I used to live in Belize. You may find it hard to get a good lawyer there. Belizians have a chill attitude about work. Don't be surprised if your lawyer misses your court date because the fishing was good that day.
lol, I'm exaggerating a little.
