Heya guys! You all know that I've been following the Android Wallet progress closely. From what started in my first Q&A as a shout out to any competent devs out there, to testing it today for the first time, I am pretty excited! I have installed in on my phone, and shot myself a small test. I just wanted to share this with you guys, as I promised I would. 564 pages of insane spam of graphics and promises, WOW!  thank you for your great contribution! speaking about serious things, yesterday i installed wallet 1.5.5 but it takes an age to redownload the entire chain: is it possible to backup the previous one running on "old" wallet? like backing up the block that is inside appdata folder? In most cases it's possible. Check C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\DeepOnion and move somewhere the biggest files blk000XX.dat. Then install the new wallet and copy back the blockchain. Also, always backup your wallet.dat before making any changes and installs. |

Guys, small request....while replying to the thread, please do not quote the first page of this thread as it un-necessary makes the post lengthy and some people do not like to see the whole copy paste over and over again only to read 10 words towards the end. Yes we know we all are excited to be part of the community/project, let's make things easier for people who are still exploring Onions. Questions are welcome however reposting the entire thread for a simple question, I find that a bit weird.
Nevertheless, good to see some development towards Android wallet and new faucets. I am sure just like me a lot of people are waiting to have access to their Onions on the go and "Android Wallet" is the answer. Can't wait to test it.
Keep talking to people about Onion and thank you all for all of your efforts.

In most cases it's possible.
Check C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\DeepOnion and move somewhere the biggest files blk000XX.dat. Then install the new wallet and copy back the blockchain.
Also, always backup your wallet.dat before making any changes and installs.
why it is so? I mean, usually, if I have to update the wallet to the new version, there is no need re-download the whole blockchain from the scratch and I have updated from the old wallet to the new one, also without it |

I don't want to speculate, but with such a low max supply I would be surprised if it doesn't reach a 3 digit number. It's only my opinion.

Great to see that Binance lists some information about DeepOnion. I believe finally DeepOnion will be listed on Binance. For now, even just listing some information is already very good. This means Binance is paying attention to us. Considering the number of users of Binance, DeepOnion will attract a lot of attention from the users. Let's just hold our precious onions and wait it moon!!
Did they really list information about Deep Onion? Where did you see that information? I want to read it. They listed an info page on deeponion. That means it will probably be in the next round of voting. Deeponion won the bitindia vote by a pretty respectable margin, if it comes up in Binance Polls it will likely win. This is a good post, thanks for sharing. Glad to see that DeepOnion is now on the Binance radar. Let's see what come in the next 10 weeks or so. Feeling excited here!!! |

crap, more then 5 hours, still nothing on criptopia  I have to take all steps to be verificated on kucoin I guess if I want to trade $onions without delays by the way, are there any delays of deposit/ withdrawals for kucoin? |

why it is so? I mean, usually, if I have to update the wallet to the new version, there is no need re-download the whole blockchain from the scratch and I have updated from the old wallet to the new one, also without it thank you @kiindje i was thinking about it but in the end redownloaded all. yes i do backup wallet.dat and dumpprivatekey regularly and store them offline, you never know @Makak4R , that's because i always made clean installs so after backing up all the important things ^^ (plus config with nodes addresses) i wipe all inside the appdata folder |

I agree with you, but I think that we have to wait until that happens. After the airdrops we will see some movement up-down, and after that the price will go up. |
