You should modify your thread and add information about the escrow arrangements. There are several highly trusted and reputable escrow providers on this site who can hold coins while trades are completed.

The idea is for people here to feel protected when dealing with you, especially because you have a rather new account. A trusted escrow can reassure sellers that they have your bitcoins in hand. Sellers from anywhere in the US can then overnight their stuff to you, you then appraise it and instruct escrow to release a certain amount of bitcoins to the seller.

Offering escrow protection will encourage reluctant sellers to come forward and offer something to sell.

Yes I agree. Its nice to feel secure everytime you are planning to enter an investment or a project. And adding escrow, will contribute in building a trust between your project and your invest. Because its means your transparent to the fund that you've collected.

We are still searching for a great escrow partner that will escrow almost all coins
Well thats good, if you could find a great and legit escow then probably many people will encourage to sell their things to yours and trust what services you have been offer. Because they will be, convince that the things they sell will be paid and secure thru your escow.

Right now we allow anyone to choose their own escrow. Until we find an official partner this is what we will continue to do

What if your customer doesn't have an available escow account? How could they been paid for the things that they sell? Don't you think its too difficult for them to sell , specially if they are just an ordinary people who dont have any account for an escow?

you are entirely right, I think it is due to the nature of the industry that people think an escrow is even needed. There are a ton of scams out in crpyto there and I understand why people might want one. Most buy back programs and services online do not use something like this, but if our customers find it a must have to do business we will gladly accommodate them.

To be fair: I do find the forum quite exhaustive when it comes to handling escrow and having a member here as the escrow agent.

Don't get me wrong, I feel secure and it definitely works. But the entire layout of a forum: starting shared messages, communicating individual deposit addresses of the escrow agent, release requests which need to be manually processed by the agent (...) is not really intuitive for that matter.

For someone who buys something every now and then it might be okay to have 1 or 2 chats going on in his inbox.
But for someone who sells stuff here on a regular basis it's a hell of a mess doing escrow with forum members while your inbox goes bananas. The fact that the inbox management still works like a messenger from 1995 doesn't make this any better.

I can't possibly understand why https://www.bitrated.com is not used more often?  Huh
It works so much out of the box and especially sellers like the thread starter can build a serious reputation there. Connecting your forum account with bitrated provides even more transparency and transfers all the advantages this forum's trust and activity system has to it.
As much as I understood their implementation, it's pretty secure so that not even the company itself could run away with funds in their own system.
I don't pimp reflinks and I don't own the site or am related to it in any way. But maybe give it a try. They hardly want any data for signing up and it kind of makes things more simple.

All the best,  Smiley

I think people have different ideas of how to bring e-commerce to the blockchain. The more people trying to solve problems the better. I stand by our solution being the best. I highly recommend you read this article.

Hey seOG, we never got around to fully conducting a deal so I figured I would take one final swipe at things. I have a GPU, MSI GeForce GTX 980TI Gaming 6G, that I am interested in selling. I have a thread up about it here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2997850 . There are a couple of links to check more about the specs and prices, https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127889 , and https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&LH_Auction=1&_nkw=msi+gtx+980+ti+gaming&_sop=1 . philipma1957, a very reputable user, has agreed to escrow this between myself and whoever purchases the card.

Is this something you are interested in discussing? I've had trouble with your website and forms in the past, so I would just like to go through PM or through this thread if possible.

Hey Bill, I remember you. I messaged you, and you never got back to me with the pictures.

That's not a problem! I would love help you out and hopefully purchase your items. https://junktion.io/sell-to-us Just fill out that form. It has everything we would need to know about the item.

It seems like you have a good amount of stuff for sale. Have you seen our rewards program?

I would like to introduce my website http://junktion.io we buy anything in exchange for crpytocurrency.

Similar to a pawn shop buying your items outright in exchange for cash, we do the same but with the crpytocurrency of your choice.

We will buy anything you own in exchange for BTC, ETH, XLM,XRP, or any coins avaiable on binance or bittrex.

Why did I create this website?

I created this website because I used to invest in lego sets and sealed action figures as well as other items throughout the years. I loved doing this and had a passion for doing so like many others. This proved to be a decent investment until I learned about crpyto. As an investor I saw everything around me was worth something. All I wanted to do was turn everything around me into cryptocurrency, so I created that service myself.
Junktion gives people the opportunity to turn random household items into crpytocurrency.

What do we buy?

We buy just about anything electronic or worth something. We will agree upon a price in a private conversation

We are based in the united states, New jersey to be specific.

If you have any comments questions or concerns about the service and how it works please feel free to send me an email info@junktion.io or comment here.
In order for me to buy your item you must fill out the form on the site.

Can we use a escrow?

This would be a great project why didn't make an ICO and we bounty hunters can endorse it all over the world? One problem you will encounter is that your project wont be available nationwide right? So, you need also every broker in every part or let's says one broker per country..

Such a relevant topic, I have been thinking of that for a while. However, what concerns me, if you buy/sell something big (e.g. a car, a house etc.) for crypto how do you clear that with the government if you wanted to?

We are working out the kinks, and are now beginning to launch a marketplace where users are able to buy and sell on their own. You can sign up here.
