According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Ok, on a serious note, I'm willing to contribute some BTC to have a programmer revive and update this project to support ASIC mining.

Any others willing to contribute a bit to find someone with some skills to fix this up ?

Anyone with skills looking to a make a few bucks updating this project ? What are reasonable rates ? How much would it cost to spend a few hours on the code to freshen it up ?

No support for Stratum or GBT, I believe.

This is something I could get behind, I used to run a fairly successful hopping proxy and would love to do so again if the code could be brought up to scratch.
