Try ICOs, look deeply into which have hype around them, have a BTC core position you can monitor coinmarketcap more specifically BTC's dominance and try and match or be a bit higher, the rest spread out to ETH and NEO 70/30 now start looking for those ICOs that will have quick tranferability and sure listings in the near future, take some profits if you believe in a core position leave some of those tokens there, keep building your BTC postion and repeat... Also we might be close to another BTC rally so make sure to plan accordingly.

The thing with Alt coins is the Market Cap. The smaller the Market Cap, the easier it is for speculators to manipulate it. Some of the Crypto Whales will quickly pump a Alt coin to trigger a buying frenzy and then once the price is high, they will dump it. You will not be able to determine which coin these whales are going to chose, so it is all based on luck and timing.

This is one of the reason that Alt coin buying lose money.

maybe you are not in a good condition to buy Altcoins, like there is FUD, Bad News or even coin is delisted from the exchange so that makes the coin its price fall.

You may also be greedy in the trade, as you've gained 5% but wait until it rises 10% again but then the coin in fact it goes down and you experience an estimated decrease of up to 15% (-)

buying potential altcoin if you feel bitcoin continue to bearish. If you dont moves any plan your bitcoin is still bitcoin you can wait until the price is pumping. But bitcoin is a more potential than the others of crypto.

there are many way you can lose bitcoin when you are trading. generally when you sell altcoin at the price lower than price you bought it then you will certainly lose part of your net amount. also when some of your altcoin you bought sudenly become less traded most time generally refers to shitcoin then you may lose your investment. also when you want to buy any coin try and do well your own research. so not invest in any altcoin which you know is subject around idea which will generally be not accepted after some time. invest in altcoin that provide update frequently and have good roadmap.
