Poloniex Preparing for an Exit Scam! DO _NOT_ SEND COINS THERE!

This is really a terrible situation. I left this exchange last year, because such problems occur quite often.

Too bad for an exchange of such magnitude. I have never traded with poloniex but it is one of the exchanges i admire.
They better get their ass together and get this issue resolved. At least they should try and communicate with whoever has an issue with them for whatever reasons.

When I first entered crypto, it took me 3 months to withdraw my ethereum from poloniex.
I had to threaten them with legal action.

well, on their part they need to increase withdrawal fee so the transaction did not stuck on hundreds of thousands of unconfirmed transaction.
I agree about binance and kucoin as a good exchange.

It's not about the withdrawal fee. THEY REFUSE TO RELEASE MY COINS. IT HAS _ZIP_, _ZERO_, _NADA_ TO DO WITH TRANSACTION FEES.

Despite the fact that I have been a customer with them for almost 4 years, Poloniex is refusing to allow the withdrawal over $2,000 worth of coins from my account. Yes, I have a Legacy Account. Yes, I created a Support Ticket over 1 month ago. Now they are just sitting on my money and there is no way to contact a real human being there. So whatever you do, DON'T USE POLONIEX. They will likely just sit on your money until they run away with it all.

They will gladly take your money, even though I don't really understand what this means. 12 of 12 confirmations and still pending... Hmmm...



Here is me trying to withdraw BTC from my XRP trade, after clicking the verification email link to confirm its me and I really do want to make this withdrawal. As you can see, the withdraw request was made over 24 hours ago and despite what is says in their "Support" section (what a corruption of the word), I have not been contacted by anybody. Obviously they have my email address, so why no follow-up?



Here's me re-visiting the withdraw request link in my email, just so you can see that I actually received the email, and I clicked it again thinking maybe I didn't click it the first time (even though I did), after all, it says "Awaiting Approval" for my withdrawal status.



Here's what Poloniex has to say after I clicked the link in my email. "Oops" is right. Assholes. (Them, not you.)



Finally, here's an example of how slow and useless their support team is. I would say this is proof they are either readying for an exit scam or else practicing fractional reserve banking, which means they don't actually have the coins to send me. As you can see I created these tickets an entire month ago and have received NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER from them.



No telephone number. No email address. Nothing to do except for sit and wait and pray.

TL;DR - DON'T USE POLONIEX OR COUNT ON THEM TO OFFER _ANY_ BIT OF SUPPORT!

Yes this is the problem with centralized exchanges like poloniex.  We are in desparate need of decentralized exchanges for instant and riskless transactions. I hope we will get more decentralized exchanges.

Poloniex used to be the most important exchange for me, but I only have a Legacy Account.
I have to withdraw my fund day by day, suffering the ridiculously high fee every time.
I don't think there will be an exit scam though.

Poloniex support is very slow. At me a similar situation, have returned means after three months.
Wait and you will be answered.

I have not used Poloniex but most of my crypto is in Bittrex and about half of that value is on HitBTC. No issues with either of them. But I don't do much trading, I just let my crypto sit there and collect dust.
Yeah I know it's risky as hell but I have quite a few different crypto and my knowledge with offline wallets is so limited that I'm afraid I will mess something up and lose them forever.
Instead I just keep them on Exchanges (no BTC), and use complicated passwords and two step authentication.

I did have an issue with Bittrex and their two-step verification (which was my fault), I made a ticket and they replied promptly within a few days.

I have also used Cryptopia a lot and never had an issue there. I use TradeSatoshi to sell my mining earnings and still have to encounter issues.

Coinbase however, that place sucks balls. Both their website, ID verification and Android app.

Similar problems happen with any stock exchange, I think this is not a reason to raise panic.

It took me 3 months to verify there on POLO.but in the end they did it.
Im pretty sure everything will be ok, but I understand your stressing :/

I trust you , legend member. I also experienced unhappy condition in Poloniex , I leave that exchange 6 months ago, now I am trading on bittrex instead.

What is your definition of "soon"? I've been waiting for over a month for them to release my NEM back to my account.

yeah i think there is something wrong, the margin on poloniex not running normally. I ever lose 2 btc at there when the price $8000/btc. I'm broke because the cheat of polo, maybe their admin manipulated the price and pump or dump the price immediatley without looking the price at the other exchange. I hate them. Can u all who know the address of poloniex burn their office ?? I'm very hate POLONIEX. POLONIEX SCAM!!!!

Maybe they are losing money over the traders? they should file a bankruptcy before they close the exchange.

This is the very reason i haven't used their exchange in about a year.

Once their user base started to grow, and it seemed that they couldn't keep up, they started to have all sorts of problems.

I knew it would just be a matter of time before something really bad would happen, and i didn't want to be part of it!

I also found it strange that they decided to remove their chat not long ago. They were obviously trying to hide something.

After your warning I have withdraw the little BTC amount I still had there, but it went through with no problems. I remember in June there had been a similar alarm but then nothing bad happened. Sure is that their support sucks, in June I had my account frozen for one months and they would not answer.

Whoa wait...  I can't believe that just happened.  I used them a month ago without any problems with deposits and withdrawals.  I understand that their system has been glitchy since 2016 but they always pulled through and fixed my issues.  Well yeah, after 100 support emails later.  But still.

As for the ip ban, there must be something going on in there.  Maybe your account was flagged by mistake or something?

Do you have a verified account with them?  Just curious.

Yes, verified, legitimized, stamped and approved. I've also used them numerous times from this country and this is the first time this has happened.

Like I said I've had my account with them for almost 4 years -- since the very beginning, when their font type was horribly unattractive and almost illegible. I've done thousands of dollars worth of business with them since and now they decide to throw the banhammer directly at my balls.
