The trend has started since 2018 and I think it should increase in 2019 as more investors would find it more investments protective.
I could add here that this is the natural way of ICO evolution. After the bear run in 2018, more and more ICO turned into scams for various reasons. This lead to people looking for more security when they are investing.
IMO if most ICO switch to more secure formats like STO, this could lead to a massive bull run in 2019
