Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Re #2, you need to be careful providing information to some but not all investors.
Yet, one could share the decision he made basing on those informations with the majority, without sharing the information with anyone.

I agree. Informations are kind.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

I've asked for an investor meeting to Willem and Ludvig 3 days ago without any response, Thus ....

I herein would like to invite you, IceDrill / HashFast investors, to a private meeting to discuss the future of IceDrill and our relationship with Hashfast.

Hi All

I've not yet had a chance to discuss it with DT as he's currently in France with sketchy internet.

That said, we wholeheartedly embrace this initiative by Transisto, much more so because it is formed by someone outside the IceDrill team.

My main reason for supporting the idea is that it essentially forms an informal "investor board" which would make my life of investor and information management much easier, to say the least.

To put the requirement of the initiative into perspective, you need to realise that information in the bitcoin mining business is extremely valuable and can loosely be classified into 3 categories:

1. Publically shareable information (the stuff we post here).
2. Information we are unwilling to make public due to it being sensitive and sharing it would potentially be detrimental to the project itself: e.g. see game theory: Nash equilibrium.
3. Information we absolutely cannot share (legal NDAs).

This initiative gives us an outlet for much of #2.

Each of those have different subcategories, and I'd be happy to elaborate further on the dark art of information management in the context of the IceDrill's playbook if anyone's interested.

i like you Will, least you take the time to read these forums and answer questions as best you can.
Maybe you should be running Scamfast  Grin

I can confirm that this exact unit is en-route (via Fedex International Priority) to the IceDrill research/engineering facility where it will undergo rigorous evaluation. ETA: Friday 3 Jan.

Have you received it yet?

Divs and no info about anything. How many devices, hashrate per device, where mined? Lack of info sucks more than lack of hashrate!

I'm curious as well...also is there a known address that will be used for IceDrill mining that we can watch?

Hi guys,

I am IceDrill.ASIC shareholder. I haven't been active here for months. I have account verified on icedrill.io though.

I would like to have some information about current farm status. Can someone explain to me what's going on under the hood? Smiley
Are we hashing yet? Machines are on their way from HashFast or not? Where we could see hashing done and stats, any mining website is up yet? Any dividends has been paid yet (I see different voices above my post), and where they should be paid normally - dividends will be visible on icedrill.io website, or by direct BTC payments?

Thanks for any one who can answer.

Regards
Lenny

i am no icedrill shareholder but as a hashfast customer i can tell you that only 2 units have been sent.

one babyjet gone to luke-jr for developing bfgminer for the hashfast devives

and one sierra went to icedrill

thats it. better not to expect to much outcome out of this sierra.

hashfast seems to be working on their PCBs and maybe (just maybe) they will start to deliver those devices in the coming weeks

I can confirm that Transisto has organized a forum for larger investors and that the current state of affairs is subject of the debate. The silence has something to do with the legal precariousness of the situation and that the IceDrill management seems to be wound up in negotiations with HashFast.
