Crypto is at another rally. I heard that 2018 will be the GTFO year where BTC will hit 20-50k, maybe? Or some McAfee levels... Who knows. And then it crashes and will be low for quite some time. But what if the crypto will be just calmer. Go a little bit up, then down and stay on pretty much the same levels. What if there will be no bubble. Or what if the bubble already burst. Opinions?

I sure hope that will happen, A friend of mine told me, that this year is good for Alt coins and not Bitcoin, But I sure hope that bitcoin will also gain to your expectation, because some of my capital is still on bitcoin.

I think Bitcoin will become the most precious intangible good or currency in this year. It has made already a good impression on the people and the people have started thinking to join in this platform.

So my perception is that the year of 2018 will be a new revolution for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I believe that this virtual currency world will be the most factor effecting tool for the monetary system in the coming year. that will be a fact for many countries along with a number of renowned companies.

Hopefully, the year of 2018 will be the year of Cryptocurrency It's been started since the December of 2017 and this platform has got a new spirit for becoming the most influential system for the money market. My personal unprofessional prediction:

The rise of the alts. I personally think bitcoin will continue to lose total market dominance (probably even lower than 20%) until lightning network comes and at the same time, becomes decently adopted by most services and sites that accepts bitcoin payments, as it could potentially take a lot of time before these companies/services integrates LN. Even segwit is currently barely used.

yes new rally for bitcoin this new year 2018. Another lot of expectation and speculation are come out now. But who can tell what will be happen in bitcoin in this year 2018. Maybe bitcoin blown - up or decrease it's value. But the much expectation of bitcoin community now is bitcoin will hit the highest pick of it value same as happened on last year 2017. Now bitcoin is experiencing up and down of it's value but the good thing it is normal for bitcoin and the same time of experiencing the bitcoin is simultaneously increasing it value. No one can actually know how much the price will increase in future. Anyway I dont think it is going to happen the same as it was in 2017 when bitcoin price increased from 1000$ to 10.000$ in a few months then it doubled to 20.000$ in only one month. If you think that the same thing will happen in 2018 then the price of one bitcoin would get to 150.000$ or more wich is incredibly huge.

Maybe is the lighting network will be released in 2018 this can help bitcoin a lot because people will make more transactions with bitcoin and shops could easily accept bitcoin because the fee will be a lot less expensive. But it is going to tale a while until lighting network will be released because the programmer's are working hard for it and they said there is no rush so we dont know when it is going to be launched

I agree with this, I think alts will steal the show for early 2018. A lot of new money has come into the market which is only just realizing their are a tonne of other coins all targeting different use cases.
They bitcoin will start to hit new all time highs around mid 2018

as long as bitcoin is improving and at the same time increasing its adoption, bitcoin price will continue to rise like this in a ridiculously fast manner that surprises everyone to the point that they start thinking it is a bubble and needs to drop hard but it then continues going higher after a little drop of 30% and sometimes worst case 40% for a couple of days.

it is not "more useful", it is temporarily fixed until the disaster happens.
if you think increasing the block size to 8 MB fixed the scaling problem then you haven't understood the problem at all.

I am agree with you. It is needed to pay attention to Ripple - the "cryptocurrency" of the banks. I think it will be on the first place soon. The banks will show that they can pump their coin.
