Hello

I had many bitcoins minners before and had no problems with them at all . Since I have ANTMINER S3 than I found there is very often something wrong with it.
My ANTMINER S3 reboots automatically after random time. Sometimes it works fine for 10 hours, sometimes its reboots after 10 minutes of proper job.

The strange thing is that after the automatic unwanted reboot the miner status shows only one chain. GH/S(5s) only drop a bit to c.a. 410 - 430 .

Here is the screenshot of miner status after the unwanted reboot:

If I reboot it manually then everything back to normal for 10 minuted - 10 hours.

Thanks

EDIT:
I have also checked the power consumption. Normally it is 354 - 356W, after the unexpected reboot it drops to 320 - 340W
The temperature of both chains is always below 40. The miner is not overclocked. Just using standard settings. Firmware is flashed to the newest version.

EDIT2:
After the last unexpected reboot the staus of chain 1 shows "oooooooo -------- " and there is no status for the other chain Sad

After 12 hours the ANTMINER S3 powered by LC POWER 600W (LC600H-12) has no problems at all. Just the power consumption seems to be very high: 390W.

I will try Deus M1-550 with two ANTMINER S1 UV later today to check if the power supply is broken.

They are not very good ones.  Where do you live Eur or USA or ?? The deus is better quality then the lc is  which is why you get better power numbers with it.

I agree with everyone else, I think this is a PSU issue and not a problem with the Miner itself.  If you're ever back in the market for PSU Corsairs are insanely good, I've had them in my PCs for the last 10 years and never a single failure or inability to power large graphics cards.

DEUS M1-550 was also not working with 2x ANTMINER S1 UV . It was the same problem as for ANTMINER S3 previously. After a few hours the GH/s dropped rapidly for both antminer s1.
LC POWER 600W (LC600H-12) works stable with ANTMINER S3 for 40 hours.

Yes, I own them both. I am in Europe.
What do you think about CS650M 650W 80+GOLD to power antminer s3? Would that be ok?

It's probably overkill for just 1 S3.  Should you decide to get 2 S3s I would bump up the 650 to a Corsair 850 Gold or an EVGA 1000 Gold.  Otherwise even a 500W Bronze Corsair is fine.
