As indicated by predictions bitcoin should have achieved 15k$ by end of 2017 and fall in first week of jan 2018

In any case, shockingly its effectively reached 17k$ in 2017.

Should I purchase or hold my btc?I don't plan to sell at any point in the near future.

Holding Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency is risky. Why? Because they are digital money. Everything that is digital has a potential to be hacked and to be corrupted. We do not know what may happen to them in the future. Hold and sell your Bitcoin at your own risk. Better ask yourself, not us. The final decision is always on yourself.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

it is. if you have holdings in a not so good coin then your money would be at huge risk. Better check the coin first if you will hold some stake on a certain coin

Yes, because you do not know what will be the price of Bitcoin in future. There are many things that can give risk to your Bitcoin: Price, Hackers, Crash, etc. Even there is a risk, its rewards are really worth the wait.

Yes holding a bitcoin has a big risk but just hold your bitcoin because bitcoin can make a higher and higher value in this year. Just trust to the bitcoin and it will pump in the following month dont be so scared that bitcoin wil dump because it is normal in investing. In this year 2018 many people would like to invest in bitcoin so bitcoin will pump again because bitcoin is getting more popular in every country.

May be there is a lot of risk in holding bitcoins at the moment but it is sure to stand in the coming time. Keep holding and make the right choice, don't take the chance of investing more if you can't deal with immediate loss. It's a long run game.
If we are going to make a decision a part on our Bitcoin transaction we could not possible evade the risk in the system of bitcoin. The truth is risk is always be all type of our investments, business and trading. But these risk specially on holding Bitcoin could give us a chance to gain profit so it totaly worth the try and the effort for us to always try.

I think I say yes because investing is kinda like a you giving a money to a unknown people but you only know them because of a campaign you joined to them.

Everything we do there must be a risk and no exception with holding bitcoin in a long period of time. Although today, bitcoin price tend to rise, but there is no guarantee that the price will continue to rise in the future.

every investment is risky, do not put all eggs in one basket
Investment and holding of any properties are risky because there is a chance that you could lose your money. On the other hand, all kind of investment are risky and it would depend to you if you would invest. But holding will also help you to gain huge amount of bitcoin and be patient if you want it to happen.

If you have a long term plan for bitcoin, i don't think you are making any mistake. It depends on your finances. otherwise, i will advise that you hold and watch carefully to know when to dispose.

of course risky, especially if the price goes down. people who have long played trading, or have bitcoin, must know this, and sometimes it is made as the advantages and disadvantages of holding the coin.

It depends on how long will you hold your bitcoin. If it's been a year, it can be risky but if it's just a month or two, i think it's still fine. I'm sure everyone knows how long we can hold our bitcoin. We can wait until bitcoin's value increase but we need to make sure that it's still safe.

I can not predict what will happen next. It is difficult to scale and has a high threshold for entry. In 2018, I do not consider bitcoin as an investment, I better invest in Nxt, Stellar, Kick coins. Maybe Wings.

I think, investment in bitcoun is always good, as it will give you better returns as compared with any other type of investment.
But investment in bitcoin is much risky too. Its market value fluctuating all the time and its value depends upon many factors like government regulations.
In other view to decrease risk, you can start investment in small amount. Otherwise you can prefer altcoins, having top most in list and lower price. Altcoins also have bright future. For example ethereum having stable growth that lowers risk.

For me, the risk is necessary to win, but always there is a strategy in cryptocurrencies to get money. Otherwise, there are periods in which we must hold and this is achieved when the currency is constantly evolving.
As well, Holding is necessary when you buy a big quantity of some currencies and this will become when the price is weak (less than $ 1) and then if the price will rises after a period of time the profit will be so huge.
Furthermore, research and knowing the news of currencies also expectations is necessary before purchasing and holding.

Perhaps now you have answered yourself, btc prices are growing again. But even if btc has risen, keeping the coin at a discount is a risk, but it's the simplest way for you to get back the money you lost.

The future is always uncertain. Holding the case is not saying. Risk part of the business.
