Even if its risky Bitcoin is surely going to surpass its ATH again if not this year then in next year. You don't suffer a loss until you sell. You can never go wrong following the HODL startegy as long as you are holding a fundamentally strong coin.
"The nature of Bitcoin is such that once version 0.1 was released, the core design was set in stone for the rest of its lifetime." -- Satoshi

Holding of digital currencies are really risky since most of them are really volatile. I think all of the people that will be investing to digital currencies should know this stuff, they should know the risk that they will be getting from holding such a volatile asset unless that person is a used in trading and have a huge knowledge in that field also.

As indicated by predictions bitcoin should have achieved 15k$ by end of 2017 and fall in first week of jan 2018

In any case, shockingly its effectively reached 17k$ in 2017.

Should I purchase or hold my btc?I don't plan to sell at any point in the near future.
Investing in bitcoins is risky, and we can't guarantee that bitcoins will benefit.
Its price is not stable, it will collapse at any time, and I think long-term investment in bitcoin will reduce the risk of investment.

The holding of every digital currency is very risky and one cannot tell when the currency that they are holding are going to make them some money or not as evident from the way BTC dropped from $20K to $12K that goes on to show that holding one can be very risky.

All investments carry some degree of risk. Based on historical data, holding over an extended period of time significantly reduces the chances of losing your principal. Holding frees you from all the stress related on tracking market movements.
Holding is guessing about the future outcomes based on probabilities. And that is where the risk lies.

All our actions in the world of trading and investment is risky. Whether you buy, sell, hold it all has its risks along side of them. What the important think is, your decision making should be based on facts, history, instincts and not on your emotions. You should know the reason behind your actions and what is your expected outcome, so that no matter what the results will be you will not have regrets.

even the market cant tell what are may really happen for the next situation cause this is really hard to predict for then you have to take all of the risk of holding for every digital currency.

There are risk of hodling btc on the grounds that you don't know whether the cost will drop and not recapture its previous magnificence and on the off chance that you will exchange it for something unique. The cost of btc may abruptly increment and that would not give you benefit as a result of the things that you will miss.

I think if you have a lot of money you'd better buy a bit of bitcoin. Do it slowly rather than just waiting for the bitcoin to rise. But if you do not have money then you have to wait and hold your bitcoin until the right time. Certainly bitcoin will increase in the future. So please be patient.

If you really believe on the capabilty and usage of bitcoin just hold as much as you possible even for the long period of time since many people trying to be part on this dominant crypto as they believe it will increase soon. Also, the capability of bitcoin is really.unpredictable as it's value will change time to time but for sure will increase but we have no idea when it's gonna be happen.

Hold it because my prediction price on Dec 2018 is $40,000-50,000 and I belive on it because it already happens on Dec 2017 when Bitcoin hits $20,000 and Its just look like a patterns. As the title say Holding will be risky or not, For me Holding is not risky when you are holding trustable coin like Bitcoin,Ethereum, and many more but If you holding token from ICO its too risky because you dont know if its scam or not.

Investing in bitcoin is a risk, as the value can crash tomorrow.
I'm holding too so far, I believe in what bitcoin represents, so I'm taking the risk. Don't invest more than what you can afford to lose however, but if you can, you should buy more.
Also have a look in other cryptocurrencies.

Yes. All kinds of work are at risk. You can risk holding it down. Because the price at which the market is today may not have it tomorrow. Maybe the price high may be lower. If the price is low, it may fall in losses. But do not be at your risk. Because tomorrow the price may go up too much. Then you will be benefited a lot. Those who improve lives. All those people who are improving in life are at risk. So all of us should know how to buy bitcoin by looking at the price bureaus.

Holding is not a risk anymore because it increased too much to go back to the initial value. The system is always increasing and decreasing so when the decreasing happens you have to hold

Bitcoin investing itself is a big risk. Now if you're talking about holding, yes. It still poses some risks. We all know that bitcoin is highly unstable meaning the value of bitcoin could change in an hour or so. And that is the only risk bitcoin holding poses. However, do not be emcoursged to gold because if you are versed with different bitcoun methods why choose the one thst gives you a small profit.

Yes, to keep is always risky. Because everything is changing very quickly in this sphere. And we do not know what will happen tomorrow

In investment there is always potential risk. Holding your altcoin is just predicting your future, you expect the penny you hold it will rise in the future. So now you will hold them waiting for the price difference. If you are afraid of risk in business you will never succeed. have failed, you will draw experience for the next investment.
