For next time, you no longer need to guess whether or not your fee is "high enough" to confirm quickly or not. Before you perform a transaction, just check with fee estimators. My personal favourite is
https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/. It shows your chance of confirmation depending on fee (at 90% chance). It's been pretty accurate for all the time I've used it. If I recall yesterday, it should have taken about 1200 mins to confirm. Yours took 270 minutes more, but that could have been because mempool increased by about 20k since yesterday. The safest is usually to go for the fee that shows a 90% of confirming within next block (green colour) - at the moment this is 501 sats/byte and above.
