Obvious scam, is obvious.

Do you have a certificate to prove it is what you say it is?
Can people do escrow?

Nope, but it is indeed an opaque sapphire approximately 100CT in weight, cabochon cut, with some copper vains and streaks running through it.

It has white and blue patches, and it comes pre-oiled.

I would escrow if you like yes.

Heh.  I have seen Toast, Captain Crunch, and even Nilla wafers go on ebay for thousands.  I think/thought it was intended as a joke.

Well, that could easily be sapphire. As long as it has the right chemical makeup and isn't red (which is ruby) or a kind of orangey pink (which is called padparadscha) it's called sapphire. Certainly doesn't mean it's worth 5k though.

akumaburn, give us DETAIL. SHOW us why this rock is worth $5,000. SHOW us some good trades of yours.

If you need that kind of detail then you aren't the kind of buyer I am looking for.

It's a rock.. sapphire in composition.. has some interesting silk/layer patterns/colors/inclusions.

I can't say whether it is or isn't worth $5,000, but I do know it's possible to make a lot more than $5,000 with it using a simple process.. known to most gemologists.

I'd do it myself but am lacking in the $600 capital needed to purchase a particular device.

As far as good trades, I'm sorry I don't have a record of that sort of thing.

I hope your rock it's authentic and you can prove that.

I do not think anyone would want to pay around $ 4,500 for a simple stone.

Good luck with your selling!
