Sell some BTC and keep the rest  This guy sold a while back  |

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I heard of BTC in early 2011, made a half-assed attempt to setup a miner, failed - and put the topic aside. Today I catch me thinking, that I could have been a millionaire. But then I realise, I know myself, I probably wouldn't have more BTCs than I have now, because I dumped them at every semi-crash, gave most of them to pirateat40 or invested them (and a lot more real cash) in some other shady BTC-investment-opportunities. So I'm quite sure, I would have less BTC/money now if I fiddled around with them since 2011 Thats destiny. If you earn it, you earned it. If not, you didn't. |

I'm sorry you sold out your stake earlier when the price was just $15.
However, a lot of people are in the same boat as you. If you were asking this question today, and I know you're not, I actually read the thread before responding, I don't see how you can be too upset selling a small portion of your horde at todays prices. So if I had 22 BTC (and I don't, I don't even have 10% of that!) I'd be tempted to sell 2 of them now. That way if the price crashes you can still say you got something out of it and not have a lot of regrets. On the other hand if the price goes to 10,000 USD per coin, you're still so rich you really don't give a shit about selling a couple of them at 850 USD.
