We have a Bitcoin transaction stuck for over 24 hours:

https://blockchain.info/tx/dcafd6a2708bd7a626382aee0df40c29c011df137d6b1335418651f40a1f8c74

We paid $20 in fees - around 30 hours ago - is there anything that can be done to get this transaction confirmed?

Damn. With a transaction fee that high I'd expect it to be confirmed within hours. Sucks that it still isn't confirmed after a day.

Your best bet would be to try to use transaction accelerators[1][2], even though I'm pretty sure that transaction would be confirmed soon due to the fee being quite high.

Suggestion: Next time, probably use a wallet that supports SegWit.

We have a Bitcoin transaction stuck for over 24 hours:

https://blockchain.info/tx/dcafd6a2708bd7a626382aee0df40c29c011df137d6b1335418651f40a1f8c74

We paid $20 in fees - around 30 hours ago - is there anything that can be done to get this transaction confirmed?

According to fork.lol, the average transaction fee is over 400 sat/B (and this is just the average, that means the quickest transactions are using higher fees.
If you have a look at blockchain.info chart https://blockchain.info/charts/mempool-state-by-fee-level you can see that the priority line for the transactions is 391 sat/B which means that the transaction will be included in the next block. The regular fee is 219 sat/B so you have a high chance to get confirmed in some hours. If you won't have confirmation in some hours, try the accelerators. ViaBTC works at every full hour for a couple of seconds, they offer 100 free spot for transactions, which is usually filled in a few seconds, you have to be quick and sharp.

How do you tell when those free spots are open, and why their paid service is not working neither?

When you copy-paste the transaction ID to ConfirmTX.com

dcafd6a2708bd7a626382aee0df40c29c011df137d6b1335418651f40a1f8c74

You get a message:

Thank you for order (order #invoice000383, payment #2491). Awaiting transaction/payment confirmation

When this should update? Any idea?

As far as I can see, the transaction is not yet confirmed. I know it is frustrating to wait for more than a day, even after paying such a huge amount as the transaction fee. But right now, our options are limited. BTW, how much did you paid to get the transaction accelerated?

We paid around $5 to ConfirmTX.com but it seems like this site is not reliable anymore, the status of the payment (via Bitcoin Cash) shows:

Thank you for order (order #invoice000383, payment #2491). Awaiting transaction/payment confirmation

The other option ViaBTC.com doesn't work for free or with a "Paid Option" (you can try it yourself as well, copy-paste the transaction ID to ConfirmTX.com or ViaBTC.com and you would see the error messages we get).

Anyway - bottom line -
For how long Bitcoin will be so unreliable?

Which wallet supports SegWit?
Why Blockchain.info wallet doesn't support it? What's the reason?

The status in ConfirmTX.com now shows:

Thank you for order (order #invoice000383, payment #2491). Payment Confirmed.
Your transaction with id (dcafd6a2708bd7a626382aee0df40c29c011df137d6b1335418651f40a1f8c74) will be accelerated soon.

Let's see if this helps in comparison to chuckblocker's stuck transaction who posted it here as well:

https://blockchain.info/tx/cf6e83869cc2eb6f8740f2426c2af2c3b0835a7a6f62aa9a68e8f84f08ddceee

So far both transactions are unconfirmed.

Unfortunately, miners pick and choose which transactions to include in a block and for some reason yours is not being chosen. Looking at the mempool, it should get confirmed some time today unless there's something wrong with it. In the future, its best to use replace by fee to make sure a transaction can be unstuck.

I used a SigWit wallet and paid 0.0075 fee so maybe about $12-$13 which is less then you and it was almost instant. I'm not sure why yours is taking long that's strange. Are you using a SigWit wallet? Still... Even with one the fees are crazy high. Too high. I use to like having the freedom to make many small transactions now I find I must think out and plan for my purchases more then before because of the fee so bundling items is cheaper.

How do you use replace by fee in the first place? Is it possible to do it with a Blockchain.info wallet?

We use a Blockchain.info wallet, and according to this:

https://bitcoincore.org/en/segwit_adoption/

Blockchain.info adopted Segwit but it doesn't seem like they really do.

Which segwit wallet do you use?

And why Bitcoin is so unreliable?
It looks like we have to pay $150 in fees to get a transfer made but this is too expensive for a SME like our site:

Thanks, we've just tried confirmtx.com [1] because the other link is not working [2].
I hope people would just stop pointing/referencing to confirmTX
that service has been confirmed as scam, many times over by a few users
your tx has 327.753 sat/B fee, quite close to today's recommended network fee, it should be confirmed less than a day
as a business you should try batch grouped payments to your users to save on fees and time

Thanks for the update about ConfirmTX.

You realize the transaction is from Friday (Jan 5) and we're already on Sunday (Jan 7)? Does it make sense a transaction of 327 sat/B takes more than 48 hours to get confirmed?

And no, as a business we shouldn't try to batch grouped payments or get into this mess, as a business we've already made a clear decision several weeks ago:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1033612.msg26739717#msg26739717

The only issue is we still need to use BTC to buy BCH with it, if we could have avoided the use of BTC completely we would have done so without a shred of doubt.

yes 2 days, but 2 days ago network fee recommendation was 550s/B
last night (UTC time) fee dropped to 400, but now it just went back up to 550 again

making multi payments in a single tx is common amongst bitcoin businesses
in fact most will say it is the best practice in transaction management of bitcoin uses
if you use single output + change for making regular payments,
you might ended up with high total fees cost and possible long chain of unconfirmed txs

No one has seemed to explain the problem so far, except for Toxigon.com who told us the following:

https://blockchain.info/tx/dcafd6a2708bd7a626382aee0df40c29c011df137d6b1335418651f40a1f8c74

If you visit this link (using PC, not mobile!) - you would notice part of the $200ish that was spent in this transaction belongs to this payment from A-Ads.com (Anonymous Ads):

https://blockchain.info/tx/881254ddfe76deae4408ab74ecbbbcdae3c4d5d04155be0243631f5bca668d7b

Apparantely Anonymous Ads has sent us 0.005 BTC ($85 approx.) but this is an unconfirmed payment.

And this payment is the PARENT of the CHILD in this transaction: dcafd6a2708bd7a626382aee0df40c29c011df137d6b1335418651f40a1f8c74

So that is why it didn't go through, because the funds from A-Ads.com are waiting to be confirmed first and only then they would be included in the transaction we're referring to - dcafd6a2708bd7a626382aee0df40c29c011df137d6b1335418651f40a1f8c74

We have used Toxigon as accelerator service:

https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/tx/881254ddfe76deae4408ab74ecbbbcdae3c4d5d04155be0243631f5bca668d7b/

It says "Accelerated by toxigon.com" but this should really be A-Ads.com's responsibility - what a shame they sent this big transaction with extremely low fees of 20 Sat/B !!!

Is there anything we can do here besides that now?!

my mistake... I didn't pay attention closely and the advance view was disabled
well I thought you knew better not to use unconfirmed input

We paid $20 in fees - around 30 hours ago - is there anything that can be done to get this transaction confirmed?
and from your original post, I was under the assumption you knew what you're doing and only pointed the fee as the main problem
you weren't actually asking if there was another problem with your tx

Is there anything we can do here besides that now?!

yes many things... but it depends on your intentions and willingness
you can do CPFP tx or you could double spend without the unconfirmed tx
it's your call... and don't make a dust output change, 0.00005296 BTC, it will just give you more problems later

3rd space, thanks for your answers, however we are completely clueless ... do you mind if you can and it will be highly appreciated if you could elaborate on this a bit?

We have a Blockchain.info wallet, from reading/browsing the forum some people say you can import this wallet into a good wallet such as Electrum - we tried to do so but we received some error messages, it seems to be too complex.

Is there any place online with a very detailed guide for newbies, using extremely simple English with no techie words that explains how to (1) Import a Blockchain.info wallet into another good wallet, and (2) do a CPFP (=Child Parent Father Parent) transaction....

well I thought you knew better not to use unconfirmed input

We don't know how to "control" this, Blockchain.info doesn't seem to allow you to select this or not.

or you could double spend without the unconfirmed tx

What does it mean? Please think you're talking to someone who heard of Bitcoin for the first time, this terminology is very difficult to comprehend, any elaboration would be highly appreciated.

it's your call... and don't make a dust output change, 0.00005296 BTC, it will just give you more problems later

No idea what this means ... what is a "dust output change"? Is that a term in Chinese?  Shocked

Apologies but we are not very savvy with all this terminology, so would highly appreciate your help here.
