If they have Bounty programs, then you better wait for the exchanges

With the amount of scams happening with ICOs I would recommend to wait for them to get listed on exchanges. Also mostly the price drops to half after getting listed on exchanges which should give you a nice opportunity to collect some coins.

Exactly, even if the ICO has a good chance at success I will still probably avoid it because if you play the percentages it will show you that majority of ICOs go under ICO price. For that reason, you should literally avoid investing in an ICO although some are too alluring to resist.

Most token price after ico is dump, thanks to the decentralised exchanges, most of the ethereum based icos not worth investing in ico phase.

How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

How come there are coins that are worth like 0.0004 $, usually during an ICO one coin is sold in the range of 1$ or not ?

Do some "coins" skip the ICO stage ?
In ICO stage, coins are sold lower than $1, I even saw $0.0001 and $0.002 ICO prices so far. So I think people sell the token when the token is listed and drop the price for a while.

Difficult question. There have been ICO tokens that have gone up 1,000%+. During ICO all campaigns make big discounts and after ICO you have a good chance to make x10, but it risky. There is no guarantee of the growth.

Every ICO coin will not give us profit, of course, but most of them are going below price after listing in the exchange. Instead of buying them in ICO better buy them when they list in the exchanges.

Not all ico will go down after hit the market because sometime promissing project will hit its highest price after hit the market.
Another thing, joining in ico give us more chance to get profit because we get bonus in some percentage if we buy in ico stage.

ICO mostly bring nice bonuses. Most ICOs from january sadly are still down in fiat price, because ETH dropped. But on the Token/ETH level mostly stays the same.

If the project is hot and there are large community, public information should buy ICO for good price. With the project that the process of selling not public should wait on the floor sure that the project can sell only a small amount that investors do not pay attention.

It depends on what project. But recently, almost all of the ico that I watched were more profitable to buy after a few days after listing on the exchange.

I buy only in ICO when I'm sure that the project will succeed or it have more benefits the companies offer when you join in their ICO like bonus, or acknowledgement to have a say on that project or if the project is about to end or already get its soft cap to have an assurance, but mostly I bought more when it goes already in exchange.

I would prefer to buy on exchanges, as most of the coins price get lower than ICO price, after listing on the exchanges. Some of these coins prices are significantly lower than ICO price, so you have to suffer great losses.

Seriously. When I look at most new coins that hit exchanges, there is one enormous red dump candle as soon as it hits the exchange (Cardano on Bittrex). Although I've seen prices moon after coins hit exchanges.

I personally, would wait and see how the token develops.

Serious investors who believe in the project and are looking for long-term gain will hold their coins.

Sometimes it is good to invest in an ICO because sometimes the ICO price is lower than the market exchange. But there are crypto coins also that is lower price than the ICO price. Actually it just depends on the coins market flow.

When the coin's price drops after ICO, its usully not worth getting into at all. Look for practical projects that have palce in real-life industries, not just something relevant in crypto-sphere or even just Internet.
Take a look at VLB. I wont be surprised if actual industry titans will want to buy their tokens from people after ICO is done. And they will be able to pay a lot to get them. Which, probably, means, that exchange price will go up.

We actually see different results for each project. In projects with bounty distribution, the price may fall below the ico price.
Sometimes it rises up and we wish we would buy it at the during of ico (I prefer buying with exchange).

I've been through a few ICO's and you're correct in the sense that there is a big drop off when the coin hits the exchange.  Many of the ICO's I've seen bounce back to peak levels over time.  A lot of them just keep going down and it's very hard to predict which of these outcomes you'll see.  The strategy that I've adopted after learning from experience is that I typically sell a portion of my holdings at the time the coin hits the exchange (if I can time it right) and then hold a large portion to let the project develop over time.

Global CPQ

Enterprise Blockchain CPQ Pricing Intelligence Software. Bringing crypto to the enterprise.  Enterprise companies are simply not ready for crypto, and Global CPQ is bridging that gap.
