Earlier people were not that serious with bitcoins as it was not that costly. Now that prices increased so much, they are remembering about those coins.

This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

That's year 2011, and now year 2018 and bitcoin have a big value, that's a sadful story, hope that you'd be able to back your 103 bitcoins, that's a huge amount of money.

Path back those years bitcoin isn't esteemed much at that point so it's alright for him not to recuperate that as nobody expecting that bitcoin will be on this stage. Also, it resembles the most prominent issue before of those diggers that has mined a considerable measure of bitcoin, they need to store it no doubt however unfortunately as they search for some security to their bitcoins, they are wiping out their stockpiling after support it up and sadly, they aren't ready to make one go down for it.

I wish this guy recover from this gravious loss. He just have to be manly and pick up again especially when Bitcoin price had now plummed compared back as at then. Maybe this serves a lesson to stay vigilant and always have a back up, it will come in handy in the future.

I´m really sorry for that guy this is pretty hard, if I imagine how much money he has lost. Incredible.
That is the only disadvantage of bitcoin, you are your own bank und nobody can help you if you make a mistake.

It's a really sad story.

I think it is one of the carelessness of the person itself, in the e-wallet data is indeed very risky lost, we must be really careful in storing it, let alone it is very important because it concerns with finance.

The guy has lost 103 bitcoins. This is very huge loss. Right now it is most valuable thing. With the help of 103 bitcoins you can do anything. I can not digest this thing. But this guy has lost very big amount. And I hope now he has regret of this thing.

It is sad that at this moment there is no way to recover his funds. Today it would be hundreds of thousands of dollars. However, when deciding to invest in cryptocurrencies, you need to carefully ensure their storage. Nevertheless, one should regret that such a nasty incident happened to someone and believe that someday new solutions will help to prevent such situations.

I think there are many such examples. He is not the only guy who lost so many bitcoins. Perhaps in the future there will be a service that can prevent the loss of files by saving them, and the problem will be solved for future users

Who knows how much people have done that same thing. I think that he is not alone in this scenario. Back in the days when value of Bitcoin was low, people didn`t care that much about it. Nowadays, with price like this, anyone that has certain amount of BTC is most probably extra careful.
Loosing 103 BTC is pretty depressing, I don`t know how I would recover my self if that happened to me.

Yes, this is a fairly common problem. My friend also lost his password from his wallet. I believe that people need to be careful
