I wish there was a way to redeem NMC natively within the bitminter site instead of screwing around getting an NMC wallet lol

I created an account at Vircurex and generated a NMC address there. I just deposit my NMC from BitMinter to that address and then trade them for BTC. |

I just set my NMC donation to 100% then I don't have to faff with converting them, they're worth hardly anything anyway! Unless you have a high hash rate it takes a long time to generate any meaningful amount.

I guess my main point is that IMHO it is a higher priority to have variable difficulty working with either GBT or stratum than to have multiple pool servers. You might never need an extra pool server with these other pieces in place.
You're right. The reason I wanted to do multi-server first is because it better allows testing all these new features separate from the main server. It was a bit of a hack the last time I did this (running a test port). I'll do it in two phases though. Just some quick changes first so I can more easily run a test port. Then I'll get in the var diff, GBT, Stratum. After that I'll add full multi-server support and actually set up more servers. Finally comes the multi-server and multi-pool support in BitMinter client, which is probably the most complex piece. |

Hmm - i can't wait to get home today and see in person one of my machines I'm just screwing around with reach 580MH/s with stock 5770 and 6790 installed...didn't think they would go that high (I thought the most from a 5770 was about 240MH/s and from a 6790 about 220MH/s) as per this chart: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparisonAnd I'm glad that big block finally ended! |

Just my opinion, but the issues overvolting can cause are not worth it. If you're only air cooling, expect the life of your video card to be drastically reduced. If you're water cooling, everything may be fine, but it's still a coin toss in my experience. Maybe I just suck at installing water blocks properly, though... |

I am getting around 375.2Mhash/s On my ATI 5870 would it be worth me mining here as am new in town and I can probs get maybe 500 to 600 out of my card over clocking it
No, you won't get rich mining, but feel free to get your toes wet. Bitminter is a nice pool. No you will not get that much out of O/C. You'll probably get about 450 if you do it right (and by that I mean safely). |
