Want some pi with that?

I am looking to make my website and I would like to purchase a domain name and the hosting itself. I know there are places I can buy domains with BTC but I haven't done it yet because some hosting companies offer free domains with the purchase of hosting.

I am looking for shared website hosting to start my website off with and as such I have two questions:
  • What are the best hosting companies that accept bitcoin? If this question has already been asked, please point me to the thread.
  • Right now I am thinking that I would like one of the power or pro plans from inmotion hosting (https://secure1.inmotionhosting.com/new_inor/choose_package.php?indfdwm=1&sb1w=yes&package=50&remind=24). Of course, I cannot pay for that with bitcoin directly so if a viable alternative hosting service that accepts bitcoin cannot be found, I would like to pay someone with BTC and have them pay for the hosting with inmotion for me please. Of course, I will pay a tip on top of what the plan costs for your troubles.

Also, if there are any other better web hosting services out there, please let me know.

Thanks Smiley

codingagency.com accepts bitcoin. and we focus sully on providing the best support possible. The reason we started coding agency was because we were unhappy with other hosting providers support. Smiley

Cool. Any reason why you chose Plesk vs cpanel and are there any reviews out for codingagency.com yet?

namecheap accepts bitcoin through bitpay. the rates are a little higher than both preev.com and blockchain.info list the current bitcoin price(because they pull price from coinbase and campbx as opposed to gox). they provide both domains and hosting.

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

https://www.namecheap.com/promos/exclusive-promo-0-98-domain-wedfcv.aspx?

1.16$ (Around 0.0125 BTC) for (.com/.net/.org) domain and 1 month free hosting.

If it's a simple site with just some pages i will suggest you to use it and change hosting later.

Hmm wow that is good. Also, if I may ask, what is the general preference regarding cpanel and Plesk (which is better)?

Thanks

plesk and cpanel are just preference choices. the reason i use plesk is the 200+ applications you can install instantly, also the admin panel in plesk provides better support for our customers. its mostly preference though

I also provide domains and hosting through bitcoin. although i only use coinbase for my payments for bitcoin. Coinbase auto calculates the USD to the price of bitcoin. Although bitpay is also a really good system

Namecheap was good but their ToS and their Acceptable Use Policy were really ugly and so I probably won't be going with them. Anyone have any other recommendations?

I moved all my reseller accounts over from Surpasshosting (which I had been at for 7 years) to hosterbox.com because 1) they accepted Bitcoin and 2) they had more recent versions of php. No regrets so far.

Oh yeah, the transaction was handled by Bitpay and 'twas a breeze.

That's awesome. I was just looking at hosterbox and was about to ask if anyone had any experience. Thanks so much, I may have to give that a try.

Sorry, but it seems like hosterbox offers a far better deal in terms of space/specs/what comes with the plans per dollar. If something goes wrong with hosterbox then I'll consider you but right now it seems like they offer a better bang per dollar.

Any way how you are better then, say, the business class shared hosting plan by hosterbox?

This host accepts BTC :
http://fluctishosting.com/whmcs/aff.php?aff=005

Yes, that's an affiliate ID, if you don't want to use it you can remove it. They have fairly good prices, and a repsonse time within 7 hours, which is very nice.

Come on! All these hosts have random hardware in their servers  Undecided
I don't doubt it being fast, but that's not the right way to go..
