I don't think this project will get any support because the distribution model is very fishy and there is no reason to have this kind of coin while the original one is also fraud.

i don't want to offend you because this is a really nice idea but I cannot see the rationale for this move?

Where are you checking prices for this?

Looks like a legitimate project. But is there a need for quantum computer resistant bitcoin? All the reports I have seen speculate that if quantum computers are invented there will be enough time to upgrade bitcoin. Isn't it a bit early to create this coin?

And if quantum computers have not been invented, how can defenses be created in advance?

Maybe that was a scam-message, trying to make you give your credentials to a phishing site?

This sounds pretty hilarious, Bitcoin Cash has its own fork  Roll Eyes, good luck

I would say more than hilarious! BCH created from a fork and now creates forks. Cheesy
If this starts from now witn only couple of months of existence, then what's next? We will have forks every week?! And for what???

Just ridiculous.

One of the beauties of Bitcoin is that unlike FIAT you cannot create unlimited new Bitcoins out of thin air. However, we are now discovering, you can create entire new forks of Bitcoin out of thin air, just like they do with FIAT, and the ridiculous thing is that there are people who always jump on the forks and give to those shitcoins value.

Thanks for the reply. It's not a message. The coins were sent directly to myetherwallet.

I do hold btc but not bch. And why would it be sent to myetherwallet?  Mistake?  Lucky me if so. lol

I don't really understand the ether*-world. Apparently you got some "smart contract" about CANDY.
I've got no idea, how you would turn that contract into actual CANDY - maybe it's still a scam and
by trying to do something with it you'd reveal some secrets to the attackers... really I don't know
much about contracts in ether world.

I recently googled for bitcoin candy, and the newest hits were still from Jan 13th... maybe they already
sold their 1% pre-mine and dropped the mic...

I'll keep watching this thread for a while ;-)

You can use this tool to claim forked coins (and whatever coin now or later): https://github.com/Ayms/bitcoin-transactions

Not yet implemented for CDY but should this project be serious (which looks dubious right now) they must release their code on github and then we will include it

See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2827163.0 for a summary

@bitcoincandy since the code is not available for now what we would need to add Candy is the same as https://github.com/Ayms/bitcoin-transactions/blob/master/tx.js#L100-L112 for Candy and the hex representation of a transaction performed by Candy (ideally 1 or 2 inputs (with associated addresses and amounts) and outputs), thanks if you can send it

Then they surely have no problem to send what I asked which does not impact anything in terms of security (and release their code when they launch)
