Glad to hear it, Khal.

Say, show your face around r/namecoin once in a while! The readers would sure appreciate it!

I think khal is currently away, and I don't know whether or not his service is currently still working.  Note however that you can register .bit domains yourself for about 0.02 NMC, which is much, much cheaper.  Take a look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=236375.0  (Or use the command-line if you prefer, it works well for me.  See https://dot-bit.org/ for more details on how to do it.)

By "host", do you mean how to configure the IP address they should resolve to?  This is described in the Wiki on https://dot-bit.org/ and can be done (I think) also with the Qt interface.  Apart from that I can't see what else you could mean by "host" ... for just holding the domain name, you don't have to do anything after registering (including the "firstupdate" part of course!), and renewing in time after at most 36.000 blocks.

Well by hosting i mean:
I have a domain. But the domain needs a page to be displayed. And the needed files like index.htm and so on need to be somewhere. I would update the dns string for the adress so it gets directed to the files. Or am i completely wrong? I don't
Want to redirect it to a normal .com adress or so.

Ah sorry, then I misunderstood you.  I acknowledge that if you also need webspace and don't already have a server somewhere (which you can rent also anonymously with Bitcoin, if you like, which will probably be more expensive but also give you more features if you can make use of them) then you can't do "namecoin alone" and indeed khal's service provides for you.  What you can do yourself is let your .bit domain redirect you to the IP of your server.

Well away or not. He is daily online. So would it be too much to say: sorry no time. I will make it when i am back.
But still no reaction. Also wrote a mail , pm and here. Nothing...
So at least give me my money back. I will give you another 2 days until sunday. Else i have to give negative trust...

Thanks for letting others know not to send money to an unmaintained site. Many of the links on dot-bit.org have died without being updated or removed, the site also maintained by khal.

It's better to register .bit yourself with your own namecoins. You only need to remember to frequently do the name_update, there's no reminder that your name will expire after six months or less. If you want someone else to have ultimate control of your domain names, you don't really need a dot bit for that.
