hello everyone

I'm new in mining, just bought the hardware for my first 6 GPU mining rig.
I read that when POW change to POS everything will change and mining will stop being profitable... If True, why and how is that? And when will it be?

thanks for the help!!

Would it not be better to research these questions before you went and bought hardware?

You mean all coins turning POS? I didn't know that.

But seriously buddy, just do some reading around here and all your questions have been asked and answered several times already.

POS isn't going to kill GPU mining, it will be customized high dollar equipment like Baikal Giant - B..  this unit will drive dual mining into the ground for GPU's.

POW to be POS is the normal situations. when your coins from POW to be POS still profitable if your coins rising the price. and when you still want that's coins, you can hold the coin and sell when high prices but this is high risk. But if you want change mining to other coins you can do it. most importantly you have knowledge about which coins are most profitable. in Altcoins a lot of coins that can be mined which of course based on calculations, which coin is profitable for the mine.

hello everyone

I'm new in mining, just bought the hardware for my first 6 GPU mining rig.

thanks for the help!!

Don't think that all coins will turn into POS, Other coins is solely design for POW, Let those coins that will become in POS, don't really bother about it, A lot of mineable coins out there and still increasing. I remember way back 2016 mining, ETH era other folks are too worried on Ethereum going POS started difficulty bombs, now look at it Grin

Just a quick question! Do you know that there tones of other GPU mineable coins out there? I am assuming that you are referring to ETH.

It strikes me as weird that you've decided to invest in a 6 GPU mining rig when posting a question like that. No offense intended!

There are examples of coins where POS is taking the "cake", so to speak and where POW-mining has become bad profit.

IMHO though. The world of crypto-currencies are still so very young. And many alt-coins are still getting developed and showing up with new concepts and interesting use cases. So I think it is a long shot to speak of the crypto-world as a whole, in so general terms.
