when is best time to cash in ?

hey guys,


 i have a buddy and he invested 600 in ED in a few coins HST ARN, BBT etc etc and he is now up to almost 30k

he is pondering about when is the best time to cash in to reinvest ... given that the above coins still have alot of room for growth - does any one have an strategies they use ?

The easier way is to cash out half of your invesment and reinvest in better project. Also tell your friend to invest in Elixir, it is an very promising lending project.

Personally, I base it on market cap. If the market cap gets into the top 50, I sell off 25%. At top 30, I sell off another 25%. I try to let 50% of my original holdings "ride" but if I see a promising project then sometimes I'll sell off a bit more to free up capital.

When each and every coin is shining in the green is a sign of cashing out. Don't cash out on a red day like today because you are getting lesser fiat for your coins. But remember to cash out at regular intervals like once in a month or twice to avoid magic crashes and panic selling.

I use this strategy: waiting for the coin will make x2, and after that, 50% goes on the purchase of new coins, 25% leave in the long term and 25% cash. So my portfolio is constantly updated with new coins and I can withdraw cash without loss of Deposit.

There are two things i consider whenver i cash in. First is the price of bitcoin and second is the cash in fee. Of course you would want the price of bitcoin to drop first in order to get a decent amount of bitcoin from the real money you are spending. However, regardless if the bitcoin price is low but the cash in fee is too high, i doubt youd get a the ideal amount you are expecting in your wallet. Im not sure if this is how your wallet works with fees but in mine, the price changes from time to time; you just gotta have a good timing.

Best time to invest in alts is when the whole market bleeds like what we have yesterday the alts are down in an average 30-40% yesterday they are very cheap than the usual price.

I agree with the guy above. When there's a sign in the graph that there's trend line break or reversal in trend, that's the time to sell and take profit. Then after that you and your friend can relax while waiting for the uptrend to occur and buy again.

You can invest anytime you want as long as you know what you do. Just take the advantage of the chosen coin you want to invest when it is negative in charts. Don't invest when it's on ATH.

Never sale the whole coins at one time, the best way is sale 1/4th of your coin than after an interval of 15 days or a month sale the next 1/4th, take chance to get more and more benefit of your coins, if there is an  unexpected boom than you can sale huge no. of coins. In case of downfall sell all the coins to mate your investment amount.
