Did you look at the bottom of the page at the other boards for sale? Did you look at the sellers other items? Look I don't care what you do, but they are there, they are for sale, they are reasonably priced. I'm just trying to help man, like I said, I don't care what you do. Pay the same, ship your miners, lose mining time, it's ok, it's not me. Nooby noobs lack experience, but they are also unburdened by preconceptions. I hope you get your miners fixed the best way for you, I really do.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Wow slow down and come up for air...yes I did look at the bottom of the page and they are all control  boards. We were discussing hash boards and you will not find a working s9 Hash board for sale for the price you were stating. I was also trying to help so you or someone else would not purchase a Control board thinking they were hash boards.

My bad, you're right. The other boards were s7/s5 hashboards. I could have sworn I saw some for s9s but maybe they were all control boards. There's certainly none now.

If we charged you 2x on the same hash PCB, please let us know the Order Number (invoice number) I will escalate this to get you the refund for the 2nd time payment.

I sent my bad S9 board only to Bitmainwarranty and they fixed it. I did not have to send the whole miner. I just looked on the website and they show you how to pack the boards

https://bitmainwarranty.com/how-to-prepare-item-for-sending-to-bitmainwarranty/

(They charged me I think like $175 total and after a week the board went out again. Sent it back in and got charged another $125 I think and it’s worked great since.)

I placed an order on their site with supposedly 2 days shipping on the 5th, it's since been canceled and reopened about 4-5 times with no response as to when my stuff is shipping.

Think I'll stick to GPU mining after my experience with myrig.com... can't imagine having to send them something to be fixed and waiting weeks etc.

I have a couple bad boards thinking of using the Kuala Lumpur place.  If anyone has experience with them pls post.

I've used Bitmainwarranty.com  with mixed results.

-First time no issues
-Second time board came without or very little heatsink glue so had to glue it myself.  Took 6 weeks.
-Third time board stopped working a couple weeks later.

I only posted Kuala Lumpur as a joke, but if you want to roll the dice, let us know how that works out.

Dear ,
1.We are sorry, if S9's hash board broken, u need to ship the whole miner back for repair.
Could you please send the screen shot of miner status and photo of SN no. to me first?

2.
Please try the third way in the instructions below to reset your machine.
https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/3957
 then upgrade the firmware.
https://file.bitmain.com/shop-file-server/firmwares/Antminer%20S9/Firmware/00720170428120943064Xx38xD7Y0683/Antminer-S9-all-201711171757-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz

3.If the miner still does not work, please switch the control board with the control board from a good S9 to test.
If the miner works, please create the repair ticket: https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000024827-How-to-apply-specific-replacement-within-warranty
Please reply with the ticket number and a picture of the miner SN tag that shows the hash rate. Once we confirm the warranty we will approve shipment.

4.If the controller does not solve the issue please return the complete machine for repair. Please follow these instructions to create the repair ticket and ship the miner back to us: https://shop.bitmain.com/workOrderGuide.htm

Note: Make sure the information in your Repair Ticket matches the contents of the shipment, so as to avoid further delay.

Best Regards,
Maria

The above is best response I've seen , with the included link : https://shop.bitmain.com/workOrderGuide.htm  . I assume that's only if you bought direct from Bitmain though, but in that link it says :
" For the miner, if your miner is:

S7: Ship ONLY the defective part, please do NOT ship the whole machine
S9: Ship the whole machine
T9: Ship the whole machine
T9+: Ship the whole machine
R4: Ship the whole machine
L3+: Ship ONLY the defective part or the whole machine
D3: Ship ONLY the defective part or the whole machine
A3: Ship ONLY the defective part or the whole machine "

MyRig((bitmainwarranty) is really a top notch outfit. They are the most dependable repair company(second only to BITMAIN themselves). I have been trying to fix S7 & S9s but it is HARD, I'm impressed at their success rate. They're not magicians so they can't fix everything obviously. Their customer service is understaffed but don't give up, they give you your best shot with out of warranty hardware. Expect a month or more backlog too but thats what a crypto craze will do.

Thry're also transitioning sites from Bitmainwarranty to MyRig which could also be part of the backlog (Haven't even been able to pay for hosting costs for the last month due to the warranty site being down, support didn't really say anything about it but miners have kept going). I exclusively trust them for board and miner repairs.

Hi guys,

Im in Europe and im struggling a lot to repair one hashboard, this is so stupid that in a multi-million business like mining and multi-million enterprises like Bitmain dont have a european repair center or partner and if i want my hashboard repaired even inside warranty i need to send all the machine to them and pay transportation, WTF? I prefer to mine without one hashboard!

So i decided make this post, if there is no special repair center we need to create one, im sure people dont mind to pay to repair one hashboard or PSU if they can have one not official repair service better than the original.

Someone knows someone in europe specialist to make repairs or help to create national, european or world network website to support repairing mining hardware?

I agree, i'm pretty sure there is some guy in Europe though....You can check the chips resistance individually to find the faulty one BUT and i presume it could just be removed as i would of thought they are all in parallel.

Look for post on making probes to test, you can see the 5 test points on each chip BUT you need to make a set of 'needle' probes as it is so tight between the the sinks.

Or there is a tool on Ebay that tells you which one, but how you would remove or even replace one (kits also on Ebay) you would need specialist kit.
Good flux/solder flow etc.

Let us know how you get on mate.
