It depends what money you want to cash out. If it's BTC, no problem.

Hold it JoJo, it's just like when Pirateat40 was leaving with all the BTC people invested with him, they still believed they could get their money out eventually. People are slow to believe just how fucked they are, it's not a matter of talking about it, they need to gradually reach a threshold where they decide to cut their losses, buy at a premium from the next greatest fool, and get out of Gox like an exploding star. When shit really hits the fan, Gox may as well suspend trade, because nobody will be selling and every backorder on the book is going to get filled up to $1000+, but it won't mean shit because the dollars aren't real.

The price-gap between Gox and other exchanges also exists for currency-pairs other than BTC/USD, which leads me to believe that people aren't having any more luck pulling other fiat currencies out than they are with USD.

That's your problem: transfers to the USA or close allies. I believe that until the potential terrorist threats around September 11 get cleared by the DHS, Gox is going to continue delaying transfers to the USA (well, not Gox itself, the banks working with Gox).

I think bankers are waiting for a good price, let say USD 130 first. The bankers look like crude oil seller. They have to create the market , shortage of crude oil, let the price raises until desire, then sell them out. Looks like higher the price the higher supply. This may be true.

This may not be related. I have remembered crude oil selling cases. Import is 40 USD each, sell is 90USD each. The bankers do what they should. To make the false view to comers, then hook them all. You better find more options.
