Since I run a netbook, and since I can't stop mining and it's CPU mining would it make more sense for me to, say install a lightweight linux distro and maybe get a tiny speed boost?

On good days my Acer Aspire One AOD250 gets 1 MH/s, would there be any small chance of increase?

Just curious.

What else could I say?

Yeah that would make sense. I can relate to the can't stop mining thing. It is addictive. Tongue

1mh/s for 45 to 60 watts of constant power usage is a bad idea. Electricity will cost more than the 0.02BTC the laptop will be earning you every month.

You could try it yourself and report back.

Installing linux takes all of an hour at most.

You should try fakeminer, it gives all the pleasure of mining without any of the upfront costs!

put the netbook remix on a jump drive and run from the jump to see if you get any increase.

if it doesn't, no harm no foul.
