Installed new windows7 64bit, new drivers amd 13.1 and on this pc I am running 2x6950s.

so I downloaded bfgminer, did a bat with this * bfgminer.exe -o eu-stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u ******* -p ******

Put the bat in the same folder as the miner and started it, every time I click on it the get this,

new drivers amd 13.1

There's your problem.  Run the AMD driver cleaner, then install 12.8 drivers.  It'll work then.

12.8 drivers are not doing anything either.

CGminer is even worse does not open at all, and when I added pause to see whats wrong I got this msg "cgminer.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file.

Try posting in the BFGMiner Support thread, maybe?

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

Some of the 13.1 drivers are still there then.

Installing Windows, running Windows Update, and installing 12.8 ALWAYS works first time for me on multiple machines (7 Pro x64 with 5xxx, 6xxx and 7xxx cards).

Well your batch file can't even find CGMiner! Where did you download CGMiner into? If you just downloaded it and unziped it, you need to specify where it is. Example:

C:\Users\Crazyates\Downloads\cgminer\cgminer.exe -o eu-stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u ******* -p ******

You'll want to put cgminer in a folder on the root of C: - burying it in your user folder is a bad idea due to Windows permissions and path lengths and all manner of stuff.

I never had any issues with it being run from my Downloads folder, but yes I do keep it in the root of the C:\ now, for simplicity sake.

You can configure Windows to create user-mode dumps if you copy and paste the following in Notepad and save as a .reg file, then right-click the .reg file and select "Merge" to add to the registry.

a .dmp file at the time bfgminer.exe crashes should be created in the C:\CrashDumps folder:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\bfgminer.exe]
"DumpFolder"=hex(2):43,00,3a,00,5c,00,43,00,72,00,61,00,73,00,68,00,44,00,75,\
00,6d,00,70,00,73,00,00,00

Maybe we'll see something in that file?

Thanks for the replies, new install sorted it out, only thing I am confused about now is how to add gpu settings for the gpus in the bat file.

Do I have to make a new bat or can I add settings to the same bat?

only getting 300 mhash out of each.

Nope, you can add all of your settings into one .bat and it'll use all ur GPUs. Why don't you tell us what GPUs you're using, what your current .bat is, and I'm sure we could give you some pointers.
