If you remove the giant peak data points as just noise you get a bit lower average price.

Let me remember.... Mtgox has +$100 and -$100 divergence with others due to liquidity issues for a long time. Then divergences became crazy, then it died. It has not broken price picture at least till ATH. Or may be earlier.

The sooner XT gets its 75% majority the better as far as i'm concerned. we could do with forking bitcointalk and /r/bitcoin while were at it.

In linear scale, though. Not so sure about that. Over this period of time and magnitude of growth, I think one must look in logarithmic scale. Personally, I don't see such a fractal at all. I think we are either in the "long silence" period that has been described elsewhere in this thread, or we are still within the long term down trend that began in December 2013.

I wouldn't put it past Bitcoin to surprise us all here.

I personally haven't experienced a sentiment this low since I've been on this forum.

It seems almost everyone is confident we will see no significant movement anytime soon and of course the dark cloud of a fork roams over our head.

I like to think it's when you least expect it that it comes.

The bigger picture is difficult to place a finger on. Hard to say if we are ranging or still continuing the epic down trend from the end of 2013. I'm looking at 4h and daily though -- it certainly looks to me like we are approaching the end of a C wave..... I believe we will top out in the high 240s/low 250s (if we haven't already). Don't know if we can expect a B wave in a longer term range situation, or the beginning of a strong move down. But I do believe we are near a local top. I have closed longs and am waiting in USD, considering the right time to enter a short position.

My biggest worry is not not having enough coins if the price reaches 2000 but not having enough cash if the price reaches 50. I share your sentiment.
