You have to select the coins based on your time of investment and also based on the capital of your investment. Long term - choose the coin with constant price increase over the years, for me ethereum, litecoin, monero,IOTA,NEM are the some of the best coins to invest in long term. Short term - the coins are doing rapid price increase currently are suitable for short term but we have to be very careful because the price mau crash at any time so don't be too greedy sell it at the right time to make profits.

Hi, Can you please tell me the which type of altcoins we should buy. Like:- which has already product established or having a strong development or backed by someone very powerful(big companies) or whose idea is best or any other reason which we should consider while buying the coin?
Strong development progress, future roadmap, reliable team, good whitepaper. And the last should be the coin must have a big community behind it to support the development progress of the project itself. I think that you must do in-depth research to take a conclusion about how good the coin. But the fact that community support is having a big role in the project. because at the same time it helps the project to grow in the future.

If you were planning to DYOR on coinmarketcap for example, what criteria do the more experienced investors look for when analyzing a coin?

If you think that you have a long-term trade or hold, you will have to buy coins from bittrex. That would be good because most of the good coins they add to the list. And for short term, you have to understand a little website and roadmap. More research more expert.

if I prefer a coin that has a firm and a strong person behind it, because by investing with a coin that has the above criteria will be very potential in the future and certainly the price will be stable and continue to increase significantly.

If you are looking for coins with a working product I can recommend CanYa. It is already released in Australia and will be released worldwide in March. Low mcap as well!

There are a lot of kinds of alternate coins. This coins have specific platforms that can help us in our daily needs in terms of using their blockchain or platform. You can invest in alternate coins with the platforms that you are interested in. You can read their white paper and see if the roadmap they are following is on track and if you think that it is worth investing on, you should give it a try.

Of course I prefer buying platform coins or protocols coins. These are more serious companies, greater investments and less chance to get scum. However, even coins on the Ethereum or NEO are often very successful, so you can not exclude something from the list. I'm looking at different possibilities.

Aside from bitcoin i suggest you to buy Ethereum because it is in the 2nd rank in coinmarketcap. It has a solid project and its smart contract is already existed. The value of Ethereum will increase because of the demand because you need a gas if you create a token in Ethereum platform.

Considering technology and development of a certain alt coin in deciding to which alts you are going to invest is a good idea but I would suggest to try also looking at the market graph were you can see the demand of different alts because majority of alts are really good and promising you just need to pick the one that most of people will pick and invest with.

If you seek a stability and low risk for your investment (also comes with lower profit of course) invest in: ETH, XLM, NEO and ICX. These will definitely go up in 3 months - 3 years, maybe not 10x or 100x, but at least 2-3x long-term growth is very probable in these coins.

Hi, I am in Tron (TRX) beacause it has a big potential in the nearest future like x30, cause it will be a new direction in game industry, it will help to make transactions to buy sell items of games and easier to donate cash from any part of the world! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I would favor a mix of top coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, to have some certainties, and some low cap promising coins with relatively flat price, which means a floor, coins like BTX or Byteball.

Check out Neblio..Its a smart contract platform like Ethereum but Ethereum supports only one language however Neblio supports 8. The development has been superfast so its still very undervalued. It has less than 250m usd marketcap whereas competitors that its ahead of in tech have marketcaps over 1 billion.
I dont want to give too much info as you should do your own research, definitely check this coin out its going to be huge soon.

I have a thought if there are several altcoin types that we should buy the altcoin which has a little supply, has a clear market, when sales are high ico and most importantly the price is always stable. that's my opinion to a good altcoin.
