I'm doing my best to recover my old account, but although I know the email and have access to it, I am getting the message "This account has not yet been approved".

Can anyone advise?

Thank you!

If you ever posted a bitcoin address, or put one in the account's profile page you can sign a message from it to prove you own the account, then send it to the forum administrators. They explain how the system works here.
