Electrum is a free software that allows you to install a Bitcoin wallet on your computer.
Electrum wallet is known for its reliability, but a flaw has recently been discovered, allowing a third party to recover the bitcoins stored on a wallet.

A Github user has discovered the bug, which allows sites hosting an Electrum wallet to steal users' holdings.
Users' passwords were exposed in the remote procedure call interface "JSONRPC"

This vulnerability had existed for more than two years according to some reports.

The bug was also commented by the administrator of Bitcointalk.

The solution: The 3.0.5 update
the Electrum team released last Sunday evening: a 3.0.5 update that seems to have (finally) put an end to this vulnerability.

i don't get what the point of your topic in here is! there already is a sticky topic in this board talking about this bug.

not to mention you are spreading false information:

Users' passwords were exposed in the remote procedure call interface "JSONRPC"

user passwords were never exposed.

Also it has nothing to do with sites hosting electrum wallets. Electrum wallets stay on your PC and are not hosted on sites.
