I just created my Bitcointalk account today and while trying to post a new topic on the market forums it kept saying my last post was 360 seconds ago and to try again later. When I did finally get it to say it posted it claimed I had already posted and must've hit it twice. It still doesn't show my topic on the forum board...

You managed to post this topic, though Wink It happens sometimes, I think logging in and other actions also count as "posting" in terms of time. So, every time you face this problem, just wait for 360 seconds, it's not very long Smiley

That is protection from spammers. Just imagine how this forum would be full of shit post and commercial of different kinds if there would not be such norms as 360 sec min between the posts and forum's moderators work. If you want to become a qualify posters you need to take in view that in ideal it is better to stay like 45 min between posts, some of signature campaigns asks for it as necessary term for all participants. I see that you are only a newbie and you will need to learn a lot if you wish to stay here for long and succeed as a member.

Yeah I don't mind waiting 6 minutes between posts but it kept doing it every 6 minutes I checked even though all I did during those 6 minutes was sit and wait. It seems to be working now though was finally able to get it post today lol. Thank you for your replies and best of luck moderating the forums. Any tips and tricks? If you don't mind me asking it's cool if you don't have time to answer.

A few times I experienced the same thing and just let it. Because, when you try to post something you have to be very careful so that you don't create spam. The first time I tried first joined this forum I posted as my heart and my spam and as a result my account permanently banned and it makes me feel disappointed and had to start from scratch
