No one has the right to force you to sell your bitcoins, not even your mother! Unless you bought it with you mother's money Tongue

Just tell them that you know what you are doing compared to them and let them see in a few months time from know how fine you are gonna be

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

My friend advised me to sell my coin today. I know he is for my sake, but how to explain to him?
Should be quite straight forward if you don't want to sell your bitcoin simply thank them for their advice but you have been in the game a while if that is the case and you have seen this happen many times before so will be keeping hold of your coins for now and suggest to them that they should buy in now.

It is my Bitcoin and no one will ever dictate whether I will sell it or not. I have a plan for it and I'm the only who will decide when i well sell it.

Exactly.. they are talking about his money... i do not understand why he should sell everything that he has because his "friends" or just his "family" is telling him to do so.. Do not be so ridiculous, just hold as much as you can and do not listen to those assholes.
Its my Bitcoin, no one can dictate me what to do with it.

I'd do it but not today. Bitcoin's value is down as of the moment. Maybe ill wait for it to come back up. We need to earn or at least reach my return of investment point.

Maybe your friend was bad informed about bitcoin and he is scared that you will loose it all. Try to explain to him that selling is not the right solution right now.

Hi there vltnqefi! The reason why bitcoin price is so volatile is the chain reaction of people that start to sell their bitcoin and tell every one to sell, thus others also sell their bitcoin thus the price starts to fall dramatically. On the other hand, if the price start to raise, other people tell other bitcoiner to buy, and spread the news to buy thus the bitcoin price almost vertically increase. Then, most of the people will complain that the price is very volatile. Every person have its own choice, and if those choices always depends on other you are just like a robot, always following order from the user. Wink

I will not give you an advise because that will only make you think about it even more of whether you should do it or shouldn't. The answer your seeking can only be  given by you yourself. Just ask yourself. What is it that you want to do with your bitcoin?

if your "friend" was not an idiot then he would have never advised you to sell your bitcoin.

and it is not just because he told you to "sell", I would have said the same thing if he told you to buy bitcoin. generally speaking someone who is confidently giving you financial advice about buying and selling stuff is an idiot because we never know, and when it comes to bitcoin it becomes even harder.

there is always a chance of price dropping or rising. sometimes there is a bigger chance of drop so you sell and sometimes there is a bigger chance of rise so you buy. but you will never know it for sure.
besides right now is one of those times that the chance of rising is bigger than chance of dropping.

Make your own decision and not you friends decision, because you are the one who can control yourself and not your friends even though they advice you to sell Bitcoin it is not right, also you should think if it will be good for yourselve. And your Bitcoin. Moreover think also the risk that you will get if you sell your Bitcoin remember that bitcoin price are changing always we don't know yet when it will increase or decrease.

You don't need to explain to him/her anything, just tell him/her "OK". The moment he said sell your bitcoin means he doesn't understand anything in crypotcurrency and he is just relying on fake news that he read or watch on TV and social media. Trying to explain your side will just turn into argument.

Well, you'd first like to know the reasoning behind your friend making a statement like this, as I don't have friends which would get involved in my investments without them thinking that it would really help me. Do you have financial problems in your life? Did you buy these coins on credit.

There are many variables that we don't know about but at the end of the day it's YOUR call as they're YOUR coins and YOUR money -- do as you please bud.

If you start listening to everyone you cannot be a good trader and you are not a kid to listen to those things and if you think you want to get out,so be it,other than that it is your choice and your money and you decide what you are going to do with it and not others.

It's easy to decide for other people and play with their money. You're not risking anything.
Never allow yourself to be guided by others' unless you know that you're a complete newbie in that field and need guidance. I don't install gas furnaces in the house because I don't want to see my house on fire one day, I allow others to do it, but when it comes to investments or computers I'm at home and don't let others tell me what to do. I advise you guys to do the same.

sorry, I think your friend is too interfering with your personal affairs, you should not depend on your friends, you must have choice and confidence, there is no doubt because all the decisions are in your hands. I think in this case a friend can only be concerned when you fall the rest they can not help what you think. bitcoin you own is your own assets and property, not their business, please wisely you respond if you want your friendship to stay awake. Essentially you do not hesitate, strengthen mentally and must be confident. for your future bitcoin.

Everyone that has been in bitcoin for more than a few years will tell you to defend your bitcoin against everything. It is valuable and will eventually be worth more. Don't let anyone convince to you let them go.
