Sales are now live and currently available on bitmains site as we speak... Only bitcoincash accepted as a form of Payment and you only have one hour to pay from time of order. It's next to impossible for me to convert most of my coins to bch within an hour to purchase. But what I find really cool is these miners use the same chips as the D3 and the same amount, 180 chips. So these just may be clones of D3's with simply just a different algo. Which may prove to be very promising for future software releases for the D3

It just sold out about a minute ago.

"Your bitcoin is secured in a way that is physically impossible for others to access, no matter for what reason, no matter how good the excuse, no matter a majority of miners, no matter what." -- Greg Maxwell

If they sell 750 of these in the first batch, the total network hashrate will DOUBLE.

You do the math after that - and keep in mind that their normal batch size recently on any of their miners seems to be in the 3000 per batch OR MORE ballpark.

Folks that can manage to get in on the first batch will probably make out - if they do more batches after that profitability will quickly collapse.

This also assumes that this miner model is RELIABLE - big risk when they're only letting you buy ONE.

Should not affect their announced DCR miner, but it might kill their announced SIA miner.

Yea, this could be awesome, but I can't risk that much loot at the moment, especially after the D3 debacle. I'll probably regret it later, but it's not like I just keep BCH laying around either, and they don't want my BTC, so that makes it a slightly easier decision.

Greetings, on the behalf of the sia community I'd like to welcome A3 miners to our project.

We recommend staying away from antpool or f2pool, and going with some existing community-run pools. Sia is about storage, and we've already had issues with F2Pool in mining empty blocks, so if you want the coins you mined to continue to be worth something, please check out the complete list here:

https://siastats.info/pools_list.html

We really want to avoid bitcoin's governance problems, and the community will take action if Sia's function (storage) is threatened by bad pools, so please pick small pools and help us stay decentralized!

Leaving this here for A3 owners, in case they are new to the Sia community: https://www.reddit.com/r/siacoin/comments/7slr57/something_stinks_in_the_world_of_a3s_and_mining/
