In general, the predictions are may be wrong about the most of time. especially when these expectations are from businessman's ( influential ) ideas because they want to influence public opinion through the media to be their big profits in the future , due to  those predictions affect on the users of bitcoin to buy a big quantity of this currency , and I never believe them in their expectations which are false and manipulative .

I share the same speculation since I think that more bad news is coming, particularly the attempt to globally regulate Bitcoin. Now I think that $1k by the end of 2018 is possible.

With your pessimist name I'm not going to question your idea with that speculation at the end of 2018 you come up with $1002 but why there's a need for odd of $2? No doubt that you're a pessimist.

More bad news will come out and its inevitable but good news are also unstoppable. No matter how many bad news will come out about regulation still there are companies that will love bitcoin.
