Hi Guys,

I knew about Bitcoin a longtime ago (say 1 year)! But, until recently, I was not interested in mining.
I ordered my first Block Erupter straight away. Still waiting for it to deliver though!

Then I found out that FPGAs can also be miners. I took out my ML505 Virtex5 board and ported the VHDL RTL onto it.
Now, it is mining at 133MHps. I'll hang on to this hardware till I receive my first ASIC Miner later this week.

I am planning to hook the asic-miner to my RPi and run it using Mine Peon. Wish me luck! Smiley

Regards,

Similar story with me.

Got interested because of some mainstream news about bitcoin mining.

Now actively seeking out information about investment opportunities. And there is A LOT of information  Grin

Hey guys,

I'm also new on the forums. Reading here already for a while, but didnt't post yet. Know already since 3 years about bitcoin, but didn' t take it serious when the coin was at $5 and forgot the bitcoin thing for a while Sad. Since the bubble in march, I checked weekly exchange rates and interest came back. Still like to bite my ass, that I didn't invested when the Coin was at $5. Now i pre-ordered my first ASIC to jump in mining and i'm praying every day, that the difficulty won,t go through the roof next weeks. Pretty exciting experience with an Happy end hopefully Smiley!

Let's have a good time on that forums here.

What else shall I wish than, Happy Mining all  Smiley!

Congratulation that you get your first ASIC Miner. I'm interesting in mining, but I can't find the suitable device.

Congratulation that you get your first ASIC Miner. I'm interesting in mining, but I can't find the suitable device.
What I did before buying that ASIC was, checking posts on that forums about all the Manufacturers (many out there and it´s getting more and more, check in Hardware > Custom hardware), also I made a lot of research about the people involved in that companies and in general about Network speed projections and so on.

I got a much better picture of the market through these investigations and at the end I placed my order at the company, which seemed to me trustworthy.
Just never invest more as you are willing to lose!

High risk investment of course, but also a chance!

I started with an smaller investment, if I "win", I will re-invest that BTC

Firstly, thanks for replying my post. secondly, thank your kindness that you share your experience with me and give me valuable advice. As you say "High risk investment of course, but also a chance! ", I believe it. Goodbye and Good luck!

Hi, welcome. It's pretty cool that you figured how to mine using your FGPA. Good luck mining!
