hey guys , recently I started using green bits android wallet for segwit transactions but today I'm facing a problem
I'm trying to move some funds from it to another site but I'm getting an error message
Verification : Fee is too small ( expected at least 1000 satoshi ) Fee is 0.00000493 BTC

I'm leaving at least 0.002 in the wallet and I'm choosing the instant confirmation option but still not sure why I'm getting this message
anyone knows what should I do ?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

This wallet gives you full control over fees. This means that this wallet allows changing the fees after funds are sent using RBF or CPFP.[1]
Theoretically, this wallet is not supposed to have any problem with the fees, so your problem concerns with Javascript.
check app, internet connection, antivirus and restart your phone.

Since you have access to your wallet you can use 12 word and move it to any other wallet

GreenAddress has a lot of option with the miner fees (example) set it to custom so you can increase the total amount above 1k satoshi. You can also try clearing your data and cache. If everything else fails go with hugeblack's suggestion which is to restore your address on a different wallet.

I think there is an option to manually put your fee for every transaction in greenaddress. like what ralle14 said check the settings and set it to custom and try to increase the fee when sending bitcoin. .
This is just like a normal mobile wallet you are just warning that you should pay an enough fee before it sent..

I don't think RBF or CPFP could help this kind of issue i think what he mean he couldn't send bitcoin due to low fee, it means its still not drop to mempool the apps are still warn you when send low fee and they don't let you sent it once you pay the minimum fee..

But for 12 word he can use this to other wallet because i think they always let you sent your bitcoin like in electrum even you pay a low fee..
But the problem i think the segwit bitcoin address from greenaddress is not supported in electrum segwit support..

Since you are using GreenAddress, I recommend you do some research into different bugs and glitches that people have been reported, including the current reviews down at the Play Store for the mobile application. I asked about it personally and got a solid word of advice about it. It is as follows:

I've used greenaddress previously and I feel that the concept was somewhat okay. Personally, I feel that it doesn't provide much more security than a wallet without a 2FA enabled. Now to the negative part:

Their Android app was nothing short of confusing and buggy. There was this one time where I've sent 0.044BTC to an address in a greenaddress wallet I've created on my Android app. I was certain that I have done the 2FA correctly and I didn't set any emails. IIRC, it crashed and closed after I've created the wallet. I wasn't given any warnings about it. When I tried to send the funds, the 2FA was incorrect and I was frustrated as hell. Thinking that I can get my funds back with their timelock function, I decided to wait. However, I can't send any of the files with the fact that there is no email set with the wallet. It's $500 in today's value and its terrible to see it stuck there. Their support wasn't helpful at all.

In short, stay away from Greenaddress.it. Good idea but terrible execution.

I too have this wallet on android phone. Please click on the left side pane and go to Settings- you will find the option to modify the transaction fee option and enable or disable segregated witness. Select the fee as Medium and back to default wallet.
Now try to make the transaction again I hope your issue will be resolved.

If you find the error again, personally pm me or write here. I will assist you more.

It might have been that what the wallet considered a good fee changed over the time in which you tried to execute the transaction. If at the time you originally tried the network was more congested than it was the second time that you tried it and it worked, then this is the most likely scenario. Even with everything working, I still would not give GreenAddress my full confidence, as there are still reports of buggy functionality and people losing their bitcoins. Consider other Android wallets as well.

I think the android wallets having lots of bugs recently and I never used greenbit address yet.But I do have a electrum in my android but it doesn't have any customize fee structure but I have that same wallet on PC but it has the customize fee,so you can try the desktop version and import your private key and send from there.
If you still have that problem you have to contact the support team of green address wallet here https://greenaddress.it/en/support.html

I can see the fee setting right on the send screen, there is a text priority: then drop down option to select fee from high, low, custom etc.. you must've not noticed it. i don't use green bits much though, i like green address. Cheesy

Probably OP could already find the settings on green bit address for android. For those, who also struggle with fees on Android Greenbit:
1) Open your green bit wallet
2) Go to overview
3) Click on top right corner on settings.
4) Click on "Info and settings".
5) Click on "Default custom fee rate".
6) The field should be empty. Then the fees are calculated automaticly.
If there are issues for sone reasons on automatic fee calculation or you need a custom fee, you can set up in the field of step 6 your prefered fee. But don't forget to delete your settings after transactions were made.
