Iam also in Cardano and Vechain and that your list consist of good fundamental coin, but I think you miss ETH, DASH, WAVES and NEO.  

II had some Cardano before the price went up to sixty cents. The coin does get a lot of volume, I think that's the one thing bad about the coin.

if my advice is better $ 5000 you are invested in altcoin whose price is still low and has not gone too far from the price of ICO, like SXDT or APPC because the opportunity for us to get bigger profits than to invest in altcoin whose price has gone too far.

The portfolio looks good to me except the list from 5-8 is not my choice. I am wondering why you have not included the ETH the most precious coin this year and is thought to be next bitcoin of 2018. I’m not sure but that should be at the top priority really. Rest of the coins are already spiked but the year of altcoins can get us big fortune so it’s better to have little risk here. And please add the ETH really. Also you have got good chances with few of the coins that I, suggesting here, that includes, SCL, JNT and IPL. They are the pretty big budget project currently.

Personally speaking, i would invest in lite coin as its the "Safe option" and ripple. Ripple has integrated real world applications with crypto currencies as seen by the card. Also ripple is being tested by banks, with ripple also requiring 20 ripple to activate a private wallet, we would see more strong hands as small traders won't be able to afford (20 ripple x rate)

Most of your coins are reasonably safe. you may loose some money or gain reasonable profit.
depending what you want. Most of these coins will not give you huge gains but at the same time they won't screw you big time either

I wouldn't do cardano ( despite the huge hype ). ripple is one of the safest coins may do x2 or a bit more, could decrease 30% or so
nem , eth c, litecoin also similar i suspect.

Maybe choose something which can give you more profit in between the safe coins. there are a lot of choices....verge, reDDcoin, deepbrain etc  i have invested in recently. they probably won't loose you much at this moment if you buy in this price range. In other threads you will have a big list of other potentially growing coins.
 best growth potential have most risk involved.
For f sake....some shitcoins like neo gold lol it may be a scam but could get you good profit lol.

We only come up with names when they have increased in value significantly, before that it is just gambling , i wouldn't do that right now. Making you 5000 into 15-20 is more than goo enough i think.

I consider 7 and 8 positions as a strange choice, as for rest of list- it is a good combination, but pay your attention to Waves and add 1-2 coins, which will be able to make 100x

All these altcoins are very good value and you should consider keeping them for a long time. The decision is yours but for me you have a good investment list and surely by the end of 2018 you will earn huge profits from long term investments.

I like these two positions more than others as an investment. However, it is impossible to say during what time. Therefore, I would follow the course if I were you. Perhaps on a large pump you will need to sell them to fix profits, and then after some time buy again.

i would dump that trojan horse of coin ripple as is nothing else than banks trying to go into cryptocurenvy. Also dump ethereum clasic, thats just a waste of money. other coins look promising and good idea. i would sugest you to maybe look into viberate, it appers to be prosing new coin. they sold out the ico in less than 5 min.
