I very much doubt that by 2020, Ripple will cost 10,000 dollars. this is unlikely.
can in 100 years Ripple and will reach such a price. anything can be.

Many price targets that are set in crypto appear unlikely, only to be surpassed a few weeks later. However $10,000 for one XRP token is insanely high, this would mean a marketcap in the hunderds of trillions. Surely this is impossible.

Hey guys, so the last ripple thread got closed down and since there aren't any new ones I decided to make one on my own.

I got around 126 ripple at the moment and I'm just wondering if they will turn me into a millionaire in the next two years.

I personally believe that they will and that anyone reading this should invest into ripple.

After all, you cannot beat the banks.
They will buy all the ripple and they will pay whatever amount is needed just to get the technology for themselves.
This means that getting in now, at a dollar, is a bargain as the more banks get interested in ripple and buying it, the more the demand for it will grow and the prices will shoot up crazy!

We watched it go from 0.19 to almost 5$ in the span of just a few weeks, I don't see why bigger growth isn't possible and don't tell me about the market cap- people were bickering about it on a dollar and ripple dumpstered it without any issues.

Please discuss and remain civil while doing it.

maybe if you have 10000 XRP one day you could be a millionaire, but with 126 I doubt it

Sorry but i think this can't happen, why? Today the price of Ripple is $1,07 and market cap of Ripple is $41.7 Billions. If the price of Ripple is $10.000 market cap of Ripple will be $390.000 Billions, this is too nonsense.

Taken by Ripple alone? That's 5 times the market cap of stocks. Also, that's calculated at the currrent supply, their total supply is 2.6 times higher.

That's just absolutely impossible. Look at the circulating supply... 39 billion and counting

Currently, Ripple is at just over USD $1 and it's already 3rd in terms of market cap. Each dollar it gains in value therefore adds 39 billion plus to the market cap. This means that if Ripple hits just $4, it will overtake Bitcoin in terms of market cap.

What's more, Ripple has an infinite supply. The higher powers that control Ripple can create more. So who knows how many coins could be in circulation by 2020.

Let's extrapolate. Today, according to CMC, Bitcoin Dominance is 34.7 percent of the current market. Let's say Ripple amazingly manages to surpass Bitcoin's dominance and it captures an astounding 40 percent of the market. Of course, total market cap for all cryptocurrencies will probably rise by 2020. So let's say it manages to hit 8 trillion by then (which is roughly the value of all the gold in the world today: http://onlygold.com/Info/All-The-Gold-In-The-World.asp). Total market cap today is 'only' 453 billion++, by the way.

So in this scenario Ripple accounts for 40 percent of a 8 trillion total market cap, or 3.2 trillion dollars. Even if circulating supply never increases, that still means that each coin would be valued at roughly $82.

That's a lot of 'what ifs', and yet I still arrive at $82 - an astounding number but nowhere close to $10,000. I highly doubt Ripple will touch anything close to this number, especially not by 2020.

totaly agree. if we look objective it can't even be 20$ this year.  10$ is good target for this year i think. but i think it is hard.
