Browser to give you a more politically balanced life

Are you politically biased? Maybe you need to be a bit more balanced. A web browser widget keeps track of the political leanings of your surfing history – and suggests ways to even out your habits.

The Balancer was created as an attempt to help people break out of "internet news ideological echo chambers", says Sean Munson at the University of Washington in Seattle, who was part of the team behind the widget.

Next is an email asking you not to be so naughty if you watch a lot of porn. I've never installed google chrome, and I won't ever. I like stupid computers and software so I can think by myself.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

You assume that an extremist would be self aware enough to install this widget.

That's the most stupid thing I've ever heard of and I just had to edit my post a couple of times because it was that stupid I'm going to have to take awhile to try and understand the reasoning behind this widget if there is any.

Lol, who decides what politically biased is? And therefore what even out means?

I think even out means the current status?

As the world is perfect as it is now, I think this is a good Idea. No need to change anything or even question the current status quo.

Finally! Please Google, tell me what to think.

(Next step Google Guy for President?)

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

I don't think Google is involved after all, it's independent developers from a university (state sponsored probably).

But still, the authoritarian and belittling mindset is baffling. Brave New World anyone?

Authoritarian is too much of a polite word herzmeister and Authoritarians would scoff at this kind of thing, these guys are trying to execute classic social engineering and are trying to make it out as if it's a good thing.

I love to read views opposing my own, then to pick out all of their negatives like a pimple popping teenager.

I also love to read views supporting my own and do the same. From doing this I deduce which side to stand on.

I guess that's the point of the widget, just to broaden you're span of opinions surrounding issues.

Has anyone tried it out before bashing it? Or did you all miss the point?

I'm downloading it right now, and I'll visit sites that I'd visit anyways to see how it judges me.

Downloaded it and started using it. I won't be able to see my balance for 28 days, which actually should increase the accuracy. I wonder how (if) it rates bitcointalk?

It's a funny idea if does well what it is supposed to do, and suggests multiple interesting sources for a topic you might be interested in.

Never RT or Al-Jazeera

Actually just saw the announcement that Al-Jazeera is now going onto American televisions and is targeting 50 million of the 80 million households.
So edits the previous post to never RT only
(Yes there is RT America still on the google search ^_^)

The worst political beliefs are extreme centrism. The worst places in Hell are reserved for those who observe neutrality in time of revolution. And Google Chrome is spyware itself. Don't install Chrome.

When I was using Flipboard, I had to filter out all that liberal news feed that kept coming. Then I thought maybe news feed with a more libertarian viewpoint would eventually populate my virtual pages. That NEVER happened.

I do check out what everybody thinks so to have many angles to a problem. Sadly the auto anti bias AIs so far are anything but.

I have sworn off of using Googles search engine but still have an android phone (I assume that they like to know where I am at all times.)  Anyhow, what is the best browser that is not going to track me all across the web?  I was just looking at pirate browser and it looks interesting- but is there a better solution?

You're welcome. Opera is terrible, I don't know why you would even use it. Even Opera Mini is crap on mobile devices, where it's supposed to be "useful".

you can also try Comodo Dragon browser, it's based on chromium but focuses on "security". i don't know how "secure" it is, seeing it comes from a crappy av company.

Hey guys, this gave me an idea, how about a porn balanced life, you know, if you been watching lots of threesomes maybe some gay porn, or scat?

We all love seeing those 2 cute girls and that 1 cup!

Maybe a little Mandingo party and then 20 minutes of fisting to call down!

What do you guys think about The Porn Balancer?
