I have been following them on discord, I think they have a good coin.  Any coin that wants to help charities is good with me.

What happened since the price dropped so much ?
I bet that's the lack of big airdrops and Cryptopia listing. Crowdcoin lacked decent airdrops but they got listed. Gobyte gave a lot of signature stuff and twitter bounty and they got listed at HitBTC as well as Cryptopia. Qbic are not listed but they gave a lot of airdrops. Three of them cost at least more than 100k for a coin. My MN share in Gobyte makes me sort of Ke$h though that's just 5 coins a week.

will this coin be on cryptopia?

I've copied and pasted an answer to this question from discord (this is from our dev):

"Posted this a few days back about Cryptopia and it mostly stills applies (with a few edits): There are a few warning flags with Cryptopia at the moment....first, their listing fee at last check was over 16-20 BTC, but they don't directly accept BTC, they only accept their own currency (DOT) (it's somewhat difficult to pin down the listing price because the current listing fee of 5,000,000 DOT is spread over a huge buy range). In looking at their twitter feed recently, there seems to be a large number of users with funds that are stuck and with no sign of assistance or support. Also, they recently announced that their bank in New Zealand has indicated that Cryptopia is not in compliance and that their bank account is being closed. They're trying to remedy the situation, but it's another red flag (update: They've said that they've been given an extension until March). As a new project, we have to build towards the bigger exchanges and we're open to suggestions on which platforms the community thinks would be the best to focus on and bring the most amount of long-term value to the project. Thanks!"

Just a head's up - we have decided on our next airdrop campaign! We are working out all the details and will have a dedicated page explaining the process - we should be ready to launch either later on today, or tomorrow. Hint: it involves charities! Stay tuned for details!

Masternode guides

We have two comprehensive masternode guides available now that can be used for the setup and configuration of Rapture masternodes using a Linux VPS to host the node (currently a requirement).

The first guide goes through a hot/cold wallet setup using Vultr as a VPS service (they've been a decent choice with Linux VPS's available for $2.50/month). This guide also has a Troubleshooting section that is continually being added to:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kz6OuR1ybR_ZpvKEvJQybUdn_jVZVfviks7h-77_1Gs/edit?usp=sharing

The second guide is from Discord community member @birty#9460 (thanks birty!) and is focused on a setup with Time4VPS (another popular VPS option):

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CWUjlrmvpbceB7_Mu-mEhqg67nKYT7hvvF9gNTu4qMA/edit?usp=sharing

Regardless of which guide you use, try not to jump between guides. The first guide creates a non-root user for the node to run under, the second guide operates as root. This means that there will be differences in paths and trying to copy and paste commands from both guides will likely lead to issues. If you use either of these guides and get stuck or would like to provide some feedback, please feel free to drop into the #masternodes channel of our Discord server.

Thank you for these guides, it was very well written and I only had a few troubles. Now I´m running node nr 129 and looking forward to serve the community and spread the word  Smiley

Rapture Charity Outreach Airdrop will be announced 02.06.2018 at 4pm GMT, first on Twitter, then discord, then bitcointalk. Note: this airdrop will involve some effort from our community members, but we think it will help Rapture reach a wider audience, and help more charities benefit from our project!

Thank you Becca :-) Have you considered making translated versions of the website ? I+m living in Denmark, where crypto still is very new and most people are scared because all of the FUD at the moment. I think the charity community here is even more scared and not very tech savy so I would love to make some translation some day since I think it would make it easier for people to understand and decide. I think it´s a very good project and especially the printed gift card have ver good potential however it could take some time to introduce it to the churches and other charities here in DK.

I don't think it's possible on the same wallet, otherwise, the same 1000 coins can be re-used.

EXCHANGE UPDATES

A quick update on exchanges! We've had about 4-5 people on Discord report withdrawal errors with stocks.exchange over the past week. The general symptom is that a withdrawal shows a "Withdraw error" message, never gets broadcast to the blockchain, and ultimately needs a stocks.exchange admin to reset and return the balance. Initially it seemed like it was just large transfers, but it sounds like it can happen to almost any amount. We've had a support ticket in for about a week just trying to get some information to pass on to the community, but no word yet. If transferring from stocks.exchange, consider breaking your transaction into smaller amounts. It seems very random, most users have not seen any issues but some have had to try multiple times. We've heard of this happening with other projects as well and it seems like it has to do with some glitchy exchange code on stocks.exchange's side. They also had an exchange-wide issue a couple of days back where bid/sell orders weren't being matched up for several hours and no trades were taking place. Hopefully they can get these types of issues sorted out sooner rather than later.

Southxchange, on the other hand, has been great. We haven't heard of any issues and our experiences with their support team have been good....fairly quick and concise responses. So we would definitely steer the community towards southxchange as a stable option.

On a positive note as well, our CryptoBridge listing is moving forwards and is in progress! We're excited to be landing on this slick decentralized platform and expect to see the listing go live over the next few days!

Great news about the new exchange :-) And also good to know that Southxchange is more stable. I will not use stocks.exchange again, its so poor in design and functionality.

With block 20,000 coming up, will part of that block go to a lucky masternode as well?

Thanks for kindful words, dev. Let give South.exchange more time, they will fix their internal technical issues for users/ traders. Overtime, everything will be clear, but with their history, nothing bad. So I think we don't need to worry too much.
