The first thing is to determine if you are going to CPU mine or GPU mine.
What kind of graphics card do you have?

You can head over to my site, www.freebitcoins.org, and complete surveys and other offers for bitcoins. You should be able to earn enough for this premium account in a matter of minutes or days depending on how expensive it is. We have surveys that you can do every single day (they pay ~$0.50 each, and there are multiple) as well as a bunch of offers that pay anywhere from $0.25 - $1 that you can do once. Edit: ($ worth of bitcoins, that is! )

What is the relevance of this question, forgive me for asking, I am new to BitCoin, but am a very fast learner. Thanks.

Thanks. if you want to mine for bitcoins your hardware matters. have a look at this table comparing mining hardware performance. higher hash rate, the more bitcoins you can make https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_Hardware_Comparison

That's not the first question. Bitcoin is a money, you can get it from anyone who has it by doing anything they value. One extra way to get coins is mining which secures the network. Miner get paid new coins. Do not mine with a CPU it is just a waste now because GPUs are so much more efficient. If you aren't interested in computer hardware then don't bother mining, I don't.

<--- Probably gonna buy a new kick-ass video card just to do some mining. Even if I don't make much doing it, I still have the good video card to game with.
